This one hurt and probably lasted for more than four hours (time to call the doctor)...

As crazy as it may sound I think he did the correct thing on the play. If he goes low and misses Shockey gets a Touchdown. Sure, Shockey gained a ton of yards but Wilson did all he could to hold him up until help arrived. No shame in not being able to take down Shockey one on one in the open field with a full head of steam

ladies, we played the season with basically a rookie defensive backfield & two strong safeties. think about it  Gibril Wilson & Bell are excellent @ Strong Safety neither are very good @ Free Safety. One will probably go during the off season. it will be cheaper & expedient to keep Wilson. they both play the position @ a very high level.Paul 13 likes this. -

I mean really it's like having a fence made out of Styrofoam instead of interwoven q-tips. The Styrofoam still stinks, but it's better than the alternative.jetssuck likes this. -
Yeah, that's a pretty funny pic in hindsight, but he did the right thing honestly. Shockey was running full blast when they made contact, and Wilson was in an awkward position to make a low tackle. He did what he was supposed to in slowing him down, and once he was able to he went low and finished him off.
If he had gone low everyone would be *****ing that he missed the tackle, which as you can see he knew he wouldn't make, and still yelled at.
Damned if you do, damned if you don't. -
