That penalty pissed me off. And so did the one on Will Allen for PI. Both kept drives alive, and both were bull**** calls. Wilson didn't spear him with his helmet. The helmet to helmet contact was incidental.

 

That penalty didn't cost us the game, so I think the hit was a positive thing for the Fins secondary. It helps set a tone....you come over the middle like that and you're gonna pay for it. I hope all the TE's that we will face this season, see that hit during film study

That is the penalty. He lead with his helmet and launched at him. That will be called most of the times and most of the times fined.

Defenseless WR in the middle of the field attempting to make a play. Why don't they just make it a flag football game already!!

Maybe my memory is serving me wrong, but he had a hand on it. Granted he's no Randy Moss, but Highlight Reel Randy Moss in the same position that guy was in would have been able to 1 hand that pass and reel it in...

My point being from what I remember seeing, he had his hand on the ball and in theory COULD have brought it in.

I don't agree with the call, but I don't think it was the wrong call either. I'm upset we got it, but I don't blame Wilson, or the refs either way.

 

I thought it was an ok call personally... And on the Will Allen PI, watching it live I thought it was a good call as well. Replay clearly showed it was not, but the ref has to call what he sees in real time.

since he was shorter, not sure that could have been avoided ... but none-the-less ...

i'll take that penalty every game if it sets a tone of coming across the middle

just a matter of time before Clemons steps up to take the start

what we have is an issue in timing & experience
in the defensive backfield, which requires time to resolve
the immediate solution is to be found in the Front Seven,
they have to apply pressure, especially on the pass rush

I'm very pleased where we are at in this point of the Reconstruction:

Well, it was a hit where he led with his helmet. I'm not convinced it was meant to be head-to-head, but it ended up that way, but that doesn't matter in the NFL and rightfully so. This would mean more if he were playing well, but add this to his abysmal play and you have a FA bust in hand...

 

I'm pretty sure he got a hand on it as well.
