WOW PS2 has a TON of titles to choose from! Never really paid much attention to how many titles it has because I did not own one and could not play them on my PS3:angry:. I stopped by Gamestop and picked up God 0f War, MGS2 &3. What are some other really good titles well known /not so well known along the same lines as those titles? Not a big fan of GTA4 or car driving games or sports games(can't figure them out). I liked Mass Effect, Fable, MGS4, COD2 &4 just to give you an idea of the type of games I like. Which one of the Final Fantasy series is a good one to start with ?

Castlevania: Sympothy Of The Night = best game of that time period. I know it's technically for PS1 but I don't care.
FFX sucked.Ducken likes this. -

Yeah I know.. but it was just a total departure from what normally would happen. :pity:

FFX was fun, VII was way better though
Dark Cloud was fun, havent thought of that game in a while.Ducken likes this. -
yeah, I'm in the FF7 didn't age well fan club... Great game, yes. But The SNES Final Fantasy's aged MUCH better. Early 3D games are a mess. SNES was 2D at it's pinnacle. Final Fantasy 12 is fantastic if you put the time it needs into it. It's one of those games I hated at first, took 3 months off of it, went back, and LOVED it.

Who knows, maybe an FF7 remake isn't just a rumor... Hell, seems like remakes are all Square can do right these days. All of their new games suck ***.

Thanks a bunch guys:up: Will have to compile your suggestions and make a trip to gamestop.
And as to why it has taken me this long to get one.......well I am not a young as I use to be and the guys that had consoles had the x-box and so thats what I went with. Most of my gaming was on PC anyway so 1 system was enough. Now that I am older I game less but have 4 different systems. Boy do I do things back buttwards. -
And happy gaming. -

Castlevnia: SOTN Might still be my favorite game of all time. Great graphics, story, and gameplay. Sure it was a Super Metroid clone... But it added a leveling and inventory system that improved it drastically.
The XBL version is $10 and it's anti aliased so it looks great stretched out on your big screen. -
To add to Desides and Stitiches List:
Need For Speed Underground 2
Need For Speed Most Wanted
Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War
Def Jam Vendetta
Def Jam: Fight For NY
Smackdown vs Raw 2006 (If you're into wrestling).Ducken likes this. -

Dark Cloud, beat it, and trade your PS2 in right after.
Seriously, that had to be the best game I've owned aside from the GTA's.
