Another case of a "Grizzly being a Grizzly", and being put-down for it. At what point are people are going to be more aware of what they're doing, while camping in wildlife habitats?

This is why the right to arm bears needs to be added to the constitution!

Yep, those bears are at such a disadvantage, dang stupid humans should just leave the woods. Oh, what the heck they should clear out of Montana, no, the west! What the heck lets just give them the whole North American area and push all humans back down to Mexico. Serves us right being stupid humans and all! And as for that pesky human that went and got himself eaten and all, well if your gonna be stupid (and slow) you're gonna be dead when it comes to bears! Don't need no stinkin guns, got teeth and will eat!:tongue2:
Just maybe in 100 years or so the buffolo will roam again too cause they got horns and ain't skeard o no stinkin bear!

So what would you suggest, kill them all off so people can camp in peace? If you knowingly go camping in a predator's territory, the YOU are assuming the responsibility for your own safety. Nature mad Grizzly's predators, meaning they will hunt, and scavenge for food, another words take precautions. :pity: -

What I do know is that people are idiots so it wouldn't surprise me to read a story someday of how some asswipe got drunk and saw a bear and started ****ing with it.
Now the cubs are parent-less and will now live their lives in a zoo. YippyTopdawg13 and Frumundah Finnatic like this. -

Yes the Cubs are losers, that is true, as is the family of the person killed (a point which no one here so far has made reference to :pity:)
As to your comment of "Kill them all off" being a hunter and a conservationist that is not even in my mindset nor in that of any true lover/sportsman of the outdoors. Remembering that it is those of us who hunt and fish who are the ones that really pay the freight to help keep those bears in the woods in the first place.
I could name many groups that are responsible for the rebirth of wildlife in the lower 48 states. They all are Hunter formed groups, none of which BTW tie up the court system (as the bambi lovers do) yet we are seeing Elk in the Eastern US for the first time in over 100 years because of the RMEF, the Deer population, the Black Bear population, The Gator population, The Wild Turkey population, And Yes The Grizzly Population are all growing and in some cases are higher that at anytime in the history of our country. I could talk about the Hunters who donate Deer meat to the food bank that helps the feed the poor, at no cost to the taxpayer, killed and butchered at their own expense.
I could also talk of the misguided souls who stomp around in the woods following these great bears, making a name for themselves, all the while teaching those same bears to become fearless around humans (all bambi lovers love these idiots). Sooner or later those very same bears are the ones eating out of garbage cans, breaking into cars for human type food, and yes killing dumb humans. Which then requires them to be put down.:pity::pity:
Sometimes the Gene pool needs to be thinned down, humans and bears! -
So let's discuss this without rhetoric. Who's killed each other more? Have more people been killed by bears or more bears been killed by people? And then even further, who's deaths were caused more by stupidity?
It is a fact, more times than not, people do stupid things that get them attacked by bears. Whether its feeding them, or encroaching on their territory, people are more responsible for the attacks than the bears are. I said before maybe these guys specifically didn't do anything wrong, (though I'm skeptical) but how many people before them fed this bear? Or didn't follow safety guidelines? Or helped destroy their natural food sources through development and pollution?
Simply put, they were in the bears house. You don't camp in grizzly territory without understanding you may be attacked. The bear was simply being a bear, because it doesn't know any better.
The best thing we can do for the animals is leave them alone, and let the cruelness of nature solve the overpopulation problems, that humans caused. -
That bear got the hat trick.

Since you and I will never see eye to eye on this issue, My love for the outdoors which includes hunting and fishing, versus your dislike for anything which speaks to your precieved mistreatment of animals by humans. I fear we can only agree to disagree.

Before I continue, let me state my stance clearly, because every time this topic is broached, I'm misrepresented by the other side.
I am not against hunting because I think it is cruel to the animals. In fact, a human hunter (when not using traps) generally kills an animal much swifter and less violently than another animal predators or by disease or starvation.
My problems with hunting are:
1. It's done incorrectly.
2. The lack of honesty that comes with hunting.
1. It's done incorrectly:
Animal predators take the weak. Human hunters take the strong. In your first post you mentioned "thinning the gene pool". That's exactly what is happening. Humans have expanded into natural habitat faster than the wildlife can adapt. When people take over an area, one of the first things they do is remove animal predators. Culling of wolves, lions and bears leads to a a population explosion of prey animals. These prey animals who now have less land and less food but more members have to find food where they can. So, even against their better judgment, they venture into human territory or some starve to death. Instead of letting nature even out the herds, we come in with our bag limits, and go after these herds. Instead of filling the gap of typical predators (that we created) we now go after the best of each herd. Its easy to spot the strongest & smartest deer for example, he has the biggest rack, yet that's exactly what humans go after. You don't get to become the smartest & strongest deer by living off of human garbage and dodging our bullets and cars. You get to be the best deer, by staying away from humans.
I'd be more open to hunting, if humans hunted like animal predators and went after the weak, while leaving other natural predators alone.
2. The lack of honesty that comes with hunting.
Hunters deny they enjoy killing. Every aspect of hunting that is enjoyable, from the meat to tracking to camping to shooting guns can all be had in other avenues, save for the killing of the target. I'd respect hunters a lot more if they just would admit to the joy they gain from killing. Hunters deny that their methods of controlling the population of herds for the herd's sake doesn't work.
If hunting solved overpopulation problems, then why is it every year hunting has to happen again? Hunting is big business. Every state's game and wildlife agency is set up to perpetuate its existence and the "sports" of hunting and fishing. They don't actually try to solve the overpopulation problems with methods that would hinder hunting or fishing. That's why you're charged a license fee and that's why every year overpopulation happens again.
For every bizarre instance of an animal person you find that does agree with you, I'll find a person that calls themselves a hunter and goes on canned hunts. Point is, both sides have misguided members. Put on the whole, most animal people don't respect the people you think they do, and I'd be wrong if I said most hunters respect canned hunts.
