No we wont hear till Wed if history has proven anything with cam, but it will be lemon..

While everyone thinks he gives us the best chance to win, I say he does not (he throws picks left and right!) at least Beck has only ONE legit bone head pick, but the ravens are the last game we could possibly win this year on paper..

 

I also think it will be Lemon and I don't know that I blame Cam either. At this point his job certainly seems like it is on the line and Lemon has a better grasp of the offense and is a little more comfortable out there. I think Beck should be starting for the betterment of the franchise. It would be nice to let him take his lumps now so he can be better prepared next year, and hopefully he'll improve and show some flashes of why so many people were so high on him, but I don't expect that he'll be the choice.

 

Cam says he is still "evaluating". Should announce Wendsday noon.

 

He should go back to Beck or he will lose him. lemon has no future here, we need to see if Beck may.

I agree completely. Benching him after getting hammered behind that line was bad enough for his psyche, but permanently placing him on the bench could really do damage. I still think Cam will be selfish and play Lemon though.

 

I try to be rational about things, but if Cameron plays Lemon he should be fired at halftime. Cleo is gone, we need to evaluate Beck. No great revelation, just simple truth.

i don't care what it takes, we need the best players on the field to avoid THAT....if we beat baltimore or NE ...let beck finish the season against cincy

I don't even care about that anymore. This team is already one of the worst ever no matter if they are 0-16 or 2-14. If they don't win a game people will make fun and whatever, but it won't really have any longstanding effects. It's much more important that we fix the QB position for the future as far as I'm concerned.

 

Four weeks was enough to evaluate that he's simply not ready yet to start.

People want to evaluate him? The last 13 quarters he played may have been the most excruciating time for the Miami offense in Dolphins history.

Yea Lemon makes some mistakes . . . I rather him make mistakes while making plays then sit up, can't locate the blitzer, and get pummeled. And we are playing the Bmore defense . . . Cam is silly if he goes back to Beck.

People saying they don't care about this season anymore . . . hell I do, I wanna see the teams best effort and best personnel on the field that gives us the best chance to win. An obviously that personnel includes Cleo Lemon at QB.

It's not about Cam being selfish at all, its about Cam needing to trust his gut . . . which he should have done initially when he knew Beck wasn't ready but let the owner and fans dictate his decision. I think that is what pissed off alot of these veteran players who came back.

 

Agreed, maybe he is ready to start . . . but not on this team with the injuries we have had.

Do u really think having Beck in the game when he is lost is helping him? I think it would be more crushing knowing that he DID NOT LEAD THIS TEAM TO ANY OFFENSIVE TD'S IN 4 GAMES, NOT JUST NO PASSING TD'S . . . NO OFFENSIVE TD'S . . PERIOD . . that is unacceptable.

Miami will start Lemon this weekend. For one reason the vets on the team want that and Cam isnt going to cause anymore contention than there already is.
Does Lemon give us the best chance at winning? We can agrue that both ways. I think with the Oline not blocking crap, Lemon can scramble better than Beck. If the Oline was doing there job then I would say start Beck. I still think Beck is the better passer.

In the end it doesnt really matter because we are going to lose with either QB right now. This team has to many holes for them to put together a win.

The most important off season move is finding a good O line. Without that, I dont care who it playing QB, this team is not going to win games.

 

I'm all for a Rookie learning on the Job, But Beck is not even close to being ready. He holds the ball too long and he will get killed by the ravens. The only reason it has worked for Cleo is that he rolls out of the pocket and MAKES more time to throw. 1,2,3 in the draft should be Derek Mcfadden, Colt Brennan & his receiver Rivers from HU, Defense the rest and Offensive and Defensive line through Free Agency. Playoffs next year QB's to last into the next 10 years

 

I don't think it's that big of a deal if people talk smack about it. When people are talking smack to you do you say "Well at least we went undefeated in '72." Because that doesn't mean anything in 2007 when they say, so what we're still killing you right now, just look at the scoreboard. I'd rather do whats best for this team's future and I think letting Beck take his lumps now rather than next season is whats best for the future. You can say he didn't lead his team to any TD's in 4 games, but that really isn't fair. In the Pitt game Big Ben didn't lead his team to a score either because of the conditions and last week he didn't get a chance at all. Most rookie QB's struggle. I'd rather him get the struggling part out of the way now and learn on the job than have to do that next season. I don't think you can make any kind of evaluation on him yet either and it would be nice to go into the offseason with at least some sort of one.

i appreciate cam making the decision that needed to be made...avoid 0-16 at all costs, the team had pretty much quit on cam, and beck. our supporting cast is too ****ty at the moment to evaluate beck properly ANYWAY.

sorry friend, no way in hell do i want 0-16 anywhere near this team, and beck would have guaranteed that. next year i look for him to be better.

 

You are certainly entitled to your opinion. Don't get me wrong though, I don't in any way want to go 0-16. But to me it is more important to fix the QB position. I'll give you that our supporting cast makes it extremely difficult for Beck to develop or to evaluate him and if Cam truly feels it's better for Beck to sit for his own growth then I would accept that. But I think even if Beck can learn a couple of slight nuances while in there then it could help him to be better when it really counts next season.
