I say their ignorance, lack of football intellect, and their desire to become more famous then they deserve, has made them irresponsible and bias to their own path to wannabe stardom..
A theory that I've been thinking about, is the correlation between these wanna be national pundits in our town spewing their garbage to do anything to create their own buzz, and the increased deterioration of our culture, is no coincidence, every culture has a majority of the fanbase who doesn't follow and know the team as a lot of us here do, they are easily influenced by what they read and hear from their local outlets, and the men they have here runnin things are far below par as to what's going on in other towns..
So wannabes, why don't you step up your game and realize that you are a local beat reporter, and you have a responsibility to look at football situations, and report with some accuracy and responsibility, not just what you think will stir the pot in the fanbase..Or is that just impossible for you??, or are you that dumb when it comes to this game and projecting what is really happening.

Id say its highly likely. Theyre pretty much all a bunch of idiotic douchebags.
However, that being said, I think we had a good draft. If you look at the value Ireland managed to get for us at pretty much each and every pick, and fill our needs at the same time, Id say he did a nice job. Of course, thats just looking at it on paper right now, the proof of that will show when these guys get playing. However, you wont, and Im sure tot his point haven't heard a word about a pretty good draft for us so far yet in any type of media. Local, or national. -
I think it began with Cole & Mando. I think they genuinely don't like Miami as a town, let alone as a team. Then when we started to fall and got into "Saban's ******* Parade & Media Lockout", hit 1-15, then had "Saban's ******* Parade & Media Lockout 2, This Time Its Parcells", their dislike turned to hate. They gained more followers and notoriety because fans got increasingly pissed. They realized they could fan the fire and improve their own stature. Cole moves to Yahoo, Mando gets a radio show, so why mess with success.
At this point though, it is beyond hatred and they both are actively and consciously trying to destroy this FO through the media. They use each other as sources and cleverly hide "maybe" & "may" in their outlandish accusations so they have an out when called on it. They are basically the evil thorn in our sides. Say what you will about Ireland but at least he's trying to improve the view of the FO. They are being more open. They are not following the Parcells Blueprint for Success 1987 Edition. We'll see, meaning it is up to the team itself to "BIM", one of the problems with "super coaches" is when they fail, and they have failed in Miami, one does not need the media to be cynical, when you hype, you have to deliver the team only delivered in 2008.

If you think they are all idiotic douchebags, then don't you think that has something to do with how the national media gets their news?, and right or wrong, gets interpreted the way they have told the story?, it all translates into us the fanbase, looking bad.
How many times have you see BS articles by our locals, I mean sh@& that they are just completely off base on, and the national media gets a hold of it, then they mock us because of it..Bottom line, these amateurs that you so eloquently speak of,are representing....Us...and their doing the worst job ive seen around the country. -

The thing is, our FO may have made a misstep or two, during all that. I don't know. I do know I cannot trust any article from or that sources/references Mando or Cole.

These local reporters have had a lot to do with the character assassination thats going on with our name...The national media is getting their cues from the local beat...and the local beat has an agenda, is amateur, and chooses to do surface level analysis.

"journalism" is a loaded term in these days DJ.
Journalism isn't about bringing facts to light anymore it's about creating drama and discussion no matter what you have to say to get it out of the public.
"Sports Journalists" are probably the worst besides Political ones.

Bill Parcells...Ross inherited everything that that man brought to the table, everything, and we all know what he was all about at this point, he never gave a sh&$ about your team, he never cared about bringing a championship to this town, he brought all his people, gave them their jobs, and did a half *** one at that..Hell, I think Harbaugh is the greatest thing since sliced bread, and when you inherit a team that is losing and getting pressured, and you happen to be apart if the same alumni as that bad ***, you make a move..I would of made the move as well, he owed no loyalty to Parcells people, none...Wouldn't that of been a good story to write.

I agree that it is everywhere, but there is always a first and a last right?, you don't think what they have been doing to this franchise has affected our national perception?, I mean a couple of 7 and 9 seasons is not as bad as the perception tells us we are...I think they have done their part to curb this fanbases enthusiasm for football and their team.

I'd say that a bunch of losing seasons have changed the culture. The media may fuel a few fires but losing is what it is. It stinks and we want to root for winners.

I have spent my life on the road, 225 days a year, I've stayed in every market for long periods of time, football is my hobby, and while your statement may have some merit, I think there is an inordinate difference of talent, ethics, and intention.

They write the way they do because this team has been a ****ing joke for 15 plus years now. I don't go out of my way to read them, I tend to stick with national stuff and what i see with my own eyes but you can't except reporters around here to write good articles about teams that go 6-10 and miss the playoffs every year.

Blaming the spors writers for writing negative articles about a perennial loser is like complaining about being disciplined for misbehaving. Straighten out the problem and the negativity goes away. It's simple cause and effect,
I'm sure these guys would rather rave about greatness and point out what makes the team great, digging up the occasional bit of dirt once in a while, than ***** about losing and speculate as to the cause. I don't think it is possible to overstate the negative impact the media has had on this country in any aspect of our lives in the last 40 years. Just look at what happens every day in the political arena and even more so, what we all know will happen in the next several months as we build up to election day. The ineptitude of the sports media in Miami is just a microcosmic example of the abysmal depths the social and cultural milieu of this country has plunged by the ever present always talking never reflective talking heads prostituting themselves to sell the next commercial and get more money in the process. Never underestimate the siren call of money or power. In the media, both come together in, by and large, an absolutely trashy cataclysm.
I can well remember when the media was unbiased and unopinionated. That has long since escaped the public presence or their conscience. -

But you are somewhat right. So. Fla. is bush league when it comes to our media folks, with some exceptions, of course. But I think since Saban was here, where the press was all but ignored, then the Tuna regime where the press has been locked out has contributed to the lack of any positivity from them. -
Cole is a venomous ***. Omar Kelly at some point went from a humble guy who reported the straight facts to an egomaniac who has actually outdone Cole in the venomous *** department. As for Mando, without Parcels to weigh him down Ireland (or some spook type the Boss has on the payroll as an "advisor") has deftly turned Mando in a supreme example of counter-intelligence work. In other words, Mando actually does have sources in the organization, but those sources are exactly the ones Ireland wants him to have and they report the information Ireland wants "leaked". But that's just my observation.

yeah its getting out of hand now even on national radio. even when ross says something harmless the media twists it and goes off on it. like the comment ross made about how he hopes one day he can retire the number 17 and the national media said he was comparing tannehill to marino which is ****ing nonsense and not what he said.
