I think it's pretty ridiculous for Steam to remove this. They still host Postal, for crying out loud.

 

Columbine-y vibes a little too much for me. Steam is still being hypocritical with what it chooses to put on its service. Like Nathan Grayson said, they'd be better off if they distinguished why a game like Hatred got pulled but Postal remains on there. Then again, they don't really have an obligation to. The people that are crying censorship don't understand the meaning of the word, and will most likely keep using Steam for their gaming needs which begs the question, how dedicated are they to something they perceive is a limiting of the freedom of speech and expression anyway?

I didn't claim as much, but I do agree with his point that Steam is being hypocritical with regard to Postal vs. Hatred.

Honestly, the premise here is so ridiculous that I don't find this offensive. It looks like the media's notion of how goths see the world. Or right-wingers, for that matter. It borders on satire, with a vacation home in ridiculousness.

 

Is the COD where you shoot all the innocent people in the airport available on Steam? I thought so. Double standards.

 

Let's be honest -- how many have played GTA and NOT go on a random rampage? This is basically what this game is.

 

Hatred is back on Steam Greenlight now.

 

Gaben asked internally and didn't like the reasons given why it was removed, so he ordered it reinstated.

 

I don't think it should be banned, but sheesh....reminds me of that game Manhunt on PS2.
