I'm looking at possibly the LG 50 or the Vizio 50. I'm out right now so I can't look them up. Can anyone tell me if those TVs are any good? Price worth it(Black Friday price) and which one you would go with?

The Vizio one is probably worth it though I dont know about their brand quality. The refresh rate which is the most important thing with TV's is very good at 240Hz. You want a minimum of 120 especially for sports and action movies where it moves very fast. The last thing you want is a slow frame by frame in live action. For $600 with that refresh rate you cant really go wrong though I would research the warranty info to make sure its not a completely crap brand.

I'd look at cnet reviews on the specific models. They're usually pretty good.

Got the 50" Sharp LED. 1080p 120hz. Pretty impressive buy for $399.

Congrats... what is the exact model #?
You can look the reviews up on BB or Amazon to see if there are any known issues with it. -
Black Friday last year I got a Sharp Aquos 60" 1080 120 HZ from HH Gregg for $600. It's a year later and prices have obviously come down but the lowest currently listed online is $738 refurbished from TigerDirect, so it was a damn great deal at the time. They only had 4 available. I got there about 3 or 4 hours early to get close to the front of the line. 20 minutes before they opened, their sales people started at the front the line and worked their way back, offering up all the vouchers as they went. Suffice it to say the 4 vouchers for my TV were gone by the first dozen or so people, but the line to get in or grab a special sale voucher was around the building. Thankfully I snagged the last 60". I even had a guy offer me $200 for my voucher so he could get the TV and was mad I wouldn't accept. That's how great the deal was. So when anyone says Black Friday is all bull****, they clearly have no idea what the f*** they're talking about.
