Feels like some sort of sick joke. I'd sooner take Gase trying to play the position himself than have Henne back.

LOL...this would be neat.

LOL, I'm still secretly a Henne fan! Hopefully Gase wouldn't ask him to throw touch passes all day like Sparano did.
The bigger question to me is, "WTF are we bringing in a veteran QB for?" Are we cutting Moore? Is Tannehill still not 100%? This scares me since 2018 is squarely on RT's shoulders.bigballa2102 likes this. -

Moore is a free agent. By all accounts Miami has no interest in bringing him back.

I wonder if the discussion is along the lines of if we want you how much are you looking for? Then wait until draft week and see if we manage to pick one up, if not and Henne wasn't demanding anything ludicrous then you go with the gamble of Tan staying healthy and bring Henne in to fight the practice squad guys for backup.

I still cringe thinking about that Baltimore game and how Gase handled the prep. You could tell he doesn't care for the guy.dolphin25 likes this. -

I really don't understand the freaking out over this.
The only QB available that has a shot at playing well should Thill go down is CKap and we likely can't afford him. Matt Moore costs too much and wouldn't be able to win more than 6 games in a season, Henne is cheaper and might win you 5....so what?
We're probably going to draft someone.
If Mayfield hits 11, we will take him. If not, we will take someone else down the draft.
But there is literally no one else out there head and shoulders better than Henne.danmarino and Tin Indian like this. -

I hope they draft a real development guy thus year. Someone that has a real chance of turning into something. That means a guy with legit arm strength and brains. Who? I have no idea.

I still have very mixed emotions about him because of the drama it will bring from the media. If he could be signed in Moore's range though ($4-6M/year) then he'd be on a team somewhere right now. Heck, he might have started somewhere last year if his ego wasn't so big on what his real value was.bigballa2102 likes this. -

At the end of the day though, the only opinion that really matters is Adam Gase's. If he says RT is the man, then there's really nothing else to say on the matter.Wilkimania likes this. -
but your right all we can do is sit by and see what happens. im just saying if I was a coach and my job depended on RT I wouldn't sleep at nightKeyFin likes this. -

I support his cause as well and honestly, I don't think he did anything wrong EXCEPT to quit his job. I don't know how he gets back to being a football player though.
On a side note, I am DYING to write his book with him- it would be a huge bestseller and finally get his entire viewpoint out there. If anybody happens to know Kaep, please tell him to call me! =)danmarino likes this. -
I honestly feel like he's not physically capable of playing anymore. Not skill-wise, but health wise. He looks like an anorexic now and being a running QB you have to be built better. I think this scares a lot of teams.

The part of the problem and a lot of pro athletes problem is that the fans and basic mid level society is the reason they have jobs. for example: if you grown corn wouldn't you make sure all day every day that the corn is watered and no insect eating them or people stealing it right?
the part of a pro athlete is to not stir up the fans negatively and he had to know what he did was going to cause major uproar once the nfl started seeing drop in money now it no longer became about the cause, it became about the nfl and their money. Knowing that the nfl is now the American sport I thought it was very very bad decision to kneel there have been many ways people have protested in sports but to kneel to something to dear to many Americans I thought was very very bad decision, and I turned out to be right I hope he didn't spend much of his money because he may never play football again.KeyFin likes this. -
