I think at this point Henning would blame just about anything or anybody for this offense's poor performance. Which ultimately is his responsibility. Was it Henne who called the WC after the beautiful pass to Fasano last game?

 

Henne supporters will say that's what Henning is doing and Henning supporters will say see I told you it was Henne's fault.

 

I blame the coaching staff before I place blame upon any of the players, especially Chad Henne. It's clear that Henning has to go.

 

it worries me that sporano may feel it's henne's fault to a point he feels our playcalling is fine and we get stuck with henning next year too when they both should really go.and it frustrates me that a guy who's been a o-line coach forever can't field a consistant group of ones much less backups that are good enough to last more than a yr here.

 

All I know for sure is that Marshall was definitely open on the play and it could've been a far better result.

 

Henning is a jackhole!!! Same crap he was fired in Carolina... He runs an inept offense unless you have a QB with PERFECT accuracy. Pennington was that, positive and negative. When he wasn't perfect the offense was exposed for what it is: Dink and Dunk bullcrap!

Give Henne an offense that yields a running game or plays that aren't blatantly obvious routes and he will flourish, mark my words...

I think the center is also responsible for calling protections, making sure all the hats are blocked...etc, etc. For Henning to call out ONE guy for anything other than something that's blatant, is not only irresponsible but desperate.

 

I don't think it was meant to be a hand off. Both Henne and Ricky's reaction tell me that it was a bootleg to the right.

 

The only thing this article confirms is that this staff doesn't have that much faith or confidence in Chad Henne. It doesn't matter whose fault it is. It doesn't matter if we get a new OC. If this head coach stays, we will have a new starting QB next year.

 

I read the god damn article Padre and it is Dan "egomaniac" Henning calling out his young QB and putting none of the blame on himself. A good coach would use a little more "we's" when explaining mistakes to the media. Sorry but Henning is a fuggin' puke. He should absolutely know better than to take this route. It's classless and further divides the team. It is a desperate shout out to save his own ***.

are you kidding me? The things that would have got us started. Henning marched the Wildpuzzy out there after the Fasano play and gained a yard. Then he runs Ricky for nothing. And he is blaming Henne for not getting us started.

Mr Hand is turning into Mr.Fist listening to Henning place the blame on two mistakes the young QB made in this football game. He doesn't even mention the perfect pass Henne threw to Marshall at the end of the 3rd QTR that BM didn't fight for.

Did Ricky hit the ball? Henning isn't even sure. It's hard to tell in the replay, but when I first watched it it looked as if Ricky hit the ball.

 

I don't know what to tell you.

This regime has already benched Henne once and Penny would still be playing if he hadn't been hurt. And now both the HC and coordinator are being more critical of him.

Henne might be on the team next year. but he will absolutely be competing with a veteran or a 1st round pick

Young QB's who have their coaches confidence rarely get benched. Henne was yanked from the NE game earlier this year and he was sat down for what would've been the rest of the season had Penny not been injured.

I don't know what makes you think Henne goes into next season as the unquestioned starter based on what you've seen thus far.

 

Another Dan Henning supporter I suppose. It won't matter who is the QB of this team if "The Egomaniac" is running the show. Henning is downright awful at his job and now he has pushed the limit of how he handles personnel. Blaming a young QB in the media for his own inadequacies. That is about as classless as it gets. Great move to motivate a team that still has a slight playoff chance. I just can't wrap my mind around this article. I mean I know it is a last gasp to save his *** but at what cost. One of the most ridiculous things is people here are buying into this trash. Daily I'm embarrassed by the organization and it's fans. Today is no different.

As a Dolphins fan you should have an agenda to see Henne succeed. Now, this doesn't mean you blindly support him, but an agenda to give him some time to prove himself isn't asking much.

If this organization hangs Chad Henne over the opinion of Dan Henning we are in big trouble. The fact that Sparano supports this is also baffling.
I do however excuse uneducated fans for supporting it. Especially in this case. :wink2:

I think Sparano gives Dan too much freedom.

I don't recall saying one thing supportive of Dan Henning.

All I stated was the obvious fact, that this staff has no confidence in Chad Henne. This is obvious to see. I don't know why it's all that controversial a topic.

 

Blast Henning all you want, but that particular statement is eminently reasonable. He liked that Delhomme went for "the eagle" when it was intelligent to do so, even if he himself wouldn't play QB that way.

Cemter is responsible for picking up LBers close and anyone else that is basically, at the second level. He is not responsible for DEs and who is to bock them. He is in charge of who is actually in front of the middle of the Oline and makes everyone aware there is person so and so here that is not usually there.

Ryan almost always lines up more people then there are blockers for, this is how NE raped them badly. If you have a really good QB, you can toast the jets defense.

 

So congratulations Henning, you blame Henne for that one protection. Now what about the other 673 questionable calls this year. Henne's fault too? Did he really audible to Wildcat on 3rd and 8? Damn that Henne guy.

Listen, I'm not an advocate for or against Henne, but every QB makes mistakes, it happens. Secondly, things like this shouldn't be mentioned in public. You don't throw someone under the bus like that, you just don't. Keep it inside, the only place it matters.
