With his team in an 0-3 hole and speculation swirling about his future, Miami Dolphins coach Tony Sparano sarcastically shrugged off questions about his job security Monday, said Chad Henne wasn’t to blame for the team’s offensive shortcomings Sunday and announced that Reggie Bush will remain his “No. 1 running back” even though Daniel Thomas has been far more productive.
Meanwhile, exasperation was evident in some corners of the Dolphins locker room, a day after a 17-16 loss to Cleveland left Miami as one of only five winless teams.
“It’s something that’s so [bleeping] frustrating,” linebacker Karlos Dansby said. “It’s [bleeping] puzzling and frustrating...”
Sparano’s “job is on the line,” Dansby said. “We’ve got to do a better job defending him.”
