He's not a name I've heard floated around in connection with Miami, but I think he should be.
He may be 33 this year, but he's had steady all-pro-level production up until last year; an anomaly than can easily be explained by a scheme switch to a 3-4.
If we're intent on getting the QB this year, why not Freeney? I'm not too comfortable with Odrick, but that's just my uninformed opinion.
He probably has 3-4 years of play left in him, and Rotoworld floated around the idea of $5 million per--not bad for the most expensive position on defense.

I loved Dwight Freeney in his prime, and even slightly after his prime, but age is just a number. People can "lose it" at different ages. Last year John Abraham still had it. You could see it on tape, you could see it in the numbers. On the other hand Freeney...I don't think he did anymore. It could be because of the scheme switch. Could be. But at 33 years old that's a scary assumption to make.
My guys are John Abraham and Antwan Barnes. -

I don't want to get too caught up in a youth movement. Some very productive veterans could be had at very attractive prices, relative to their younger counterparts...and their added experience (ESPECIALLY guys like Abraham and Freeney who have done it all) makes them even more valuable, IMO.
While these guys only have a few years left, I don't see it as an issue long-term, because the rest of our team is so young that future drafts can focus on replacing them. -

I just don't see it with Freeney. 34 year old Freeney, playing on grass. I see mediocrity written all over it, and for 5 million/year, that would really stink.
