'He's intrigued by the Pistol offense, which carried the 49ers within 5 yards of a Super Bowl championship: "It's exciting to see the NFL grow in that direction ... of mobile quarterbacks who are able to get out and run a little bit. You see it all across the league now, and it's exciting."
He plans to speak soon with some of the league's elite quarterbacks, in hopes they might mentor him: "There's a few I'm going to reach out to. We'll see how it works out."
He will spend the offseason improving his footwork and accuracy under pressure: "Throwing under duress is a huge thing is the NFL. You have to be able to simulate those things throughout the entire offseason so you're not just throwing in a pocket where there's no one around you."

Quickness within the confines of the pocket are imperative to his development, footwork drills all offseason should help, but i really like that he wants to do all these things under some chaos, recognition of the rush, combined with better quickness to escape and engage his athleticism should be done in the weight room..
And Lauren cannot be draining him every nite, he needs his strength...lol

Greg Jennings or Dwayne Bowe or Mike Wallace.
That's how Ryan Tannehill will improve this offseason. -
Right now his pocket presense or awareness is his biggest need. As far as being effective as Kapertnick or Wilson or RGIII ? Not going to happen. No team is going to game plan with their first priority of stopping Tannehill running abilities. He is nowhere gifted atheletic wise as any QB above. Once in awhile scramble ? Sure, most QBs are decent doing that. In Ryans case he has to get feel for the pocket and yes, he needs weapons then next he has to throw the dam ball in a reasonable amount of time.

-"Hello Dan, it's me Ryan Tannehill..."
-"Yeah?"
-"You wanna hang out sometime?"
-"If it's money you're after, I can tell you I work for CBS. What I do have is a particular set of skills...Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you, and possibly attractive interns. If you hang up now, that'll be the end of it. If not, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kill you with cliche's..."
Somewhere Chad Henne just said "Let it fly!"... -

Also, a guy who switched positions and then switched back and had success in both spots is athletic. I'm pretty sure that's the definition of athletic.
