If the Phins lost to the Raiders in another lack luster performance like we have these past two weeks... Do you fire him going into the bye week or just let it ride out for the season?
State your case for keeping or firing him..

I'm not going to defend him anymore. I did for a while, but this is unacceptable. I thought being back at home after being embarrassed last week would have sparked us, instead, we just got embarrassed even worse.
Either he better make a change or he shouldn't be around much longer. There's no fire at all.FinsPensFan, CitizenSnips, Ronnie Bass and 1 other person like this. -

Fire him. He should have been fired last year.
My case... Well, I already stated above he should have been fired after the locker room scandal, then after the failed final two games. On top of that, its obvious this team is nowhere near prepared to play any game so far this season.
The sooner he's gone, the better off we will be.
Seriously though, I wanted the guy gone last year. Nothing's changed this year, hopefully its just growing pains in a new offense, but it sure seems like its more than that. Things this year, feel the same as how they were last year at the end of the year.FinsPensFan, ASOT, Phinsoverpats and 1 other person like this. -
I'm not sure firing him helps, unless there is someone on the staff you want to legitimately audition for the job

Fire him and let's see what our DL coach can do as interim HC.

Ross seems to always want to be the "nice, friendly" owner. The way he got rid of Ireland was like politely asking the pool boy to leave your house after you catch him banging your wife; the man doesn't have the heart or the balls to press the eject button at high altitude and be done with it.
I see Philbin getting 13 more games at least...no matter how badly we lose. -
I'm fine with firing him. promote BIll Lazor to HC, see what he has for the last 12 games. If he fails, then clean house.

There really isn't anyway to fire him, I mean its not like we have a bunch of assistants that are serious head coach candidates. We kind of have to play it out with Philbin and Tannehill and hope for the best. I do think he is a goner after the season but there isn't anyone to take over for him on this team so there isn't any way to get rid of him.

I want blood, I'd fire him BUT for the sake of tanking, I'd keep him and let the thing spiral into the abyss.

I never like philbin from when he just gave t.hill the starting job instead of earning it over they MVP of the team the year before

If we look this bad against Oakland...hold that...if we lose however it happens against Oakland (very possible), I say he's toast. Even if we win, but look horrible, I say bye bye. Let Coyle do interim HC just to piddle through the season, and let this owner/GM bring in a winner at HC...one with experience outside error-checking PowerPoint presentations.
And I'm pretty much getting to where I say he can take RT with him. The kid has no fire. He had deer in the headlights syndrome too many times today once he got sacked a few times and had some drops. Ya his protection sucked, and the play-calling sucked, but at some point he's got to WILL himself to succeed. Really let me down there today...he took 2 sacks that CAN NOT be taken, and missed a few wide open receivers later on in the game. If he can't overcome in the 2nd half and keep playing well (played well in the first half) then I can't seriously consider him a franchise QB...as much as it sucks to see it happening, AGAIN. -

I just don't feel Philbin has what it takes to be a HC in the NFL. Most coaches are more suited to be assistant coaches and a very few are capable of being successful head coaches. Philbin just has never appeared to be the type of coach who inspires his players to want to go out and win on a week to week basis. His team seems ill prepared and just can't seem to put together 4 quarters of quality play.
He may be a good guy and liked throughout the NFL, but as a head coach, he kinda sucks. -
Good news. I'm available for the intern coaching position when it comes. Super Bowl.

FWIW A lot of really good teams are 1-2 right now. A blowout of Oakland would get us back on the right track. Im just not confident that happens.

At this point, I'm leaning towards hoping for disaster. Rebuild it right. -
So assuming this Dolphin team is better than Tampa Bay or Jax this season is a bit of a stretch, after what we have seen from this Dolphin team the past two weeks. -

Based on Ross's record when it comes to hiring the right people for the job in the NFL, I fear that it is going to be a long time before this organization is successful again.
I pray Ross proves me wrong on this prediction. -
I absolutely want him fired. 100%. The only reason not to fire him today is because it may make Ross look bad to candidates after the season. The ONLY reason.

I want him gone now. I don't care about next week against the Raiders starting a rookie QB.

I'd ride it out with the idea that you fire him after the last game. In the meantime, I'd get pieces in order to recruit Harbaugh or Cowher
