up in the hype, although I was hopeful. We are the same ole Fins and nothing has changed. All this speed at the WR is overrated without trick plays, these guys are NEVER OPEN in our traditional offensive sets. They’re useless unless we can score on the trick plays every week.
Defense is nothing special at all. No pressure and no sacks on Brady so far and as far as I’m concerned a lack of sacks since the season started. The middle of our D field is always wide open and no one especially McDonald likes to tackle, only shoulder bumps.
Gase is so frustrating. I hate to complain about play calling because as fans none of us are experts but what the hell is the fascination with Gore in our first halves??? We have a speedy RB who’s 23 years old for Christ sake.
Thill is a nice QB, but let’s face it, all the planets need to be aligned for him to have success. He’s never gonna put everyone on his back and force a victory.
And **** Burke, he’s pedestrian at best at making defensive adjustments.

Well said. Team is awful. The loss to Bengals will put New England in first were they belong.

I wrote before the season that this was a 6-7 win team. While I was hoping I would be wrong, the fact is that this team just isn’t very good. They got to 3-0 by beating a Titans team which lost their starting QB, their best receiver and their staring tackles.
The Jets are a bad football team and therefore a very mediocre Dolphin team was able to beat this terrible team. The Raiders are another bad team who had to travel across the country and the Dolphins were able to hold on for a close win over the bad Raiders team.
I still don’t see this team winning more than 6-7 games this year. They have a lack of talent throughout the roster and Tannehill continues to show that when he goes up against a quality opponent, he just isn’t capable of getting the job done.
It will take at least two more drafts with a new front office and a new QB before this team will
be a legitimate playoff contender, IMO.DolphinGreg, Redwine4all, hitman8 and 1 other person like this. -

We got totally outplayed today but we're still 3-1 so I think we'll end up with more than 6 wins. I actually predicted 6-8 wins. Hope I'm wrong and we win more but today was a total crap-fest so who knows. Gase has got to do better than this.Redwine4all likes this. -
with sticking to my 4-6 win prediction.
I think right now 2 or 3 wins the rest of the season is about the best we can hope for from this very mediocre team. -

Well.. if that's the last we see of Tannehill (in this game), here are some stats to record (have to record the bad ones with the good ones).
Worst loss of Tannehill's career point differential wise was a 3-37 loss against Tennessee in his rookie year: -34 point differential. So this game is actually the worst ever for him from the point of view of that stat. Passer rating wise his 47.9 rating would be his 6th worst ever.Last edited: Sep 30, 2018 -

an organization that has no real direction from the top and seem quite happy to settle for mediocrity.
I admit I am spoiled because I actually remember when the Dolphins were a relevant football team in the NFL. My hope is that eventually we will have a front office and a coaching staff who actually know how to put a consistent winner on the field and one which can actually beat the better teams in this league.
If my views regarding the Dolphins organization at this time bother you, frankly I don’t give a damn. I just want a quality football team in Miami for a change and I refuse to settle for less.DolphinGreg, canesz06 and pumpdogs like this. -
Not gonna say I didn't see this coming. In fact....I expected a loss. What I didn't want was a brutalized thrashing of our souls today and that is exactly what happened. Where the HELL is Kenyan Drake these days? Why haven't we gotten him the ball in space? This loss is on the coaching. Horrible job by Gase not putting us in a better position against a team that is resilient and smart and well coached. Gase got his *** handed to him today. Anyway....I did expect a loss, but I said...On this forum....that if we got blown the hell out I was going to be pissed. Yes....This team is fools gold at the moment. We have a better chance against the Bengals next week, but i'm already going to panic.

I am as disappointed as the rest of you. However, this is just one game. I am willing to wait and see how we respond to this *** whipping before I decide our season is over or not. It’s gut check time. Do we have the ability and team depth to overcome?

I agree for the most part. Except drake. He is tip toeing if there isn’t s massive hole he’s useless. I would have. Preferred seeing more gore as he gets the yards there. This team will never win anything with Ryan Tannehill. He has zero situational awareness he’s a robot. He throws deep on third and 6 but not in early downs. He can’t move at all. For someone supposedly athletic he is a statue. He can’t attack down the field. This is the thirst ifdensive coordinator trying to hide tannehill With easy shirt passes. The league has caught on

I expected to lose today, not like this. This was horrendous performance by Miami.

Well I really felt we had a great chance and opportunity today. Gase got taken to school today and I hope he learned something from it. We may be a competant pass blocking team but we cant run block for ****. Without Reshad Jones the defense just is a shell, he seems to be the cog that makes it work. There were some good individual things going on out there but not enough.
I dont like losing but I knew it was a very real possibility. To me this was the worst possible outcome, getting beat down in that manner really just pisses me off. I like Gase and think he's the right guy but this one should be laid firmly at his feet. Call me crazy but i still think going in we were the more talented team. I still think that now. -
....Can we at least hit a .500 record before we start acting like the sky is falling? Like, I get it - it was a horrible lost. But people are acting like 1-3.

Message boards are always filled with "realists" who seem to live to post after every loss how we suck, and enjoy it

Ok...I'm calming down lol. Today was just a major L all around for me. From plumbing issues to migraines, etc. I've had time to think. We....got our butts kicked today. I had a feeling this would happen. The sky is not falling but we need to move on quick and get ready for a tough Bengals squad that might be getting Joe Mixon back next week. We can definitely give them a game and possibly go 4-1. As I said last week, even with a loss to the Pats, the next six games after that are all very winnable games. We'll be fine.
