We got away from the run in the second half. We could of ran time off the clock, but we chose to throw the ball. I know the Saints defense toughened up, but we got away from what we do best. Henning needs to stick with the game plan rather then changing from what has been successful and working for our ball club. The saints came back and wanted it more then we did.

We shouldn't have gotten away from the run but Chad Henne played pretty good considering Ted Ginn dropped everyone of his passes
-
G. Wilson, and Ted Ginn should both be benched after there terrible play.

Yeah it was really disappointing how we got away from the run, especially since Ricky was making plays before.

Henning always panics and gets pass happy when our backs are against the wall, ALWAYS.
Ricky was running wild and we went away from that.GridIronKing34 and Fin Fan In Cali like this. -

I do not agree as the running was stalling in the second half.Take away rickeys long run and we could not move the ball on the ground today for some reason. The problem is are recievers made some bad plays. What the hell was 83 thinking trying to get out of bounds with 2 timeouts and the 2 mintue warning coming up save time for drew brees to beat us with a field goal. Then he pushes the ball out of bounds.Thats the play that killed any chance we had to win the game.

ugly ugly loss. we played 1 and 3/4 quarters today. wasnt enough. this one hurts.

How could they be so comfortable running the ball during the final drive against the Jets but once the Saints got within 10 points we started passing on every play?

No one to blame but Ginn. He lost the game 100%.

Wilson made some nice plays... I think he's the scapegoat of the secondary. He tipped a pass that was picked. He wasn't as bad as people make him out to be. Will Allen going down in the 3rd (I think) quarter hurt us the most on defense, IMO.
But I agree with the OP, not running in the 2nd half was the dumbest thing I've seen since this regime got here. -
I felt going to the passing game was the right move since they were stacking the box. However we had to many drops in key situations. I can think of 3 Ginn had that really hurt, not counting when he tripped himself in the first half. Fasano had a big drop. Ricky had one. Our offense is a true stud wr away from being very, very good. Our defense is a play making safety or ILB away from being dominant. It's just going to be hard to outscore a team when you are dropping key passes.
