had it for 2 years....never had a inch of a problem.....love dvr.....love nfl ticket.....love all the channels.....and love that they give ya free movie channels sometimes so i record some flicks :shifty: not one complaint about directv :up:

I had FiOS in my temp house here in Texas. Unfortunately, I now live out in the sticks where they haven't run their network yet :pity:

I am bugging both ATT and Verizon weekly to notify me ASAP when it is available in my neighborhood.

BTW: How do you like those incrdible load speeds on FiOS brother :hump:

I enjoy my DirectTV so far and will like it more come football season. It beats the pants off time warner cable.

Having access to the main three in Delaware(Fios, Directv, and Comcast). I'd have to say that Directv blows the other two out of the water.

Since having to go to Direct, my bills are 15.00 more a month, the signal is sometimes fuzzy, I have less watchable channels (Cmon man, I bet I have nearly 70 channels of religion and infomercials on Direct) and the internet is not nearly as fast as FiOS.... Aside from that......

In my experience when a channel/show is fuzzy it is not a problem limited to directTV. With that said instances of fuzzy programming have been few and far between.

ive had direct tv for 2 months now and i love it, outside of a couple times when it is a bad storm outside, i havent had a single problem.

Amazing bro...nothing touches it. And WAY more HD channels! Phone service is damn good too!

Can't deal with DirecTV....had it for awhile. Every time Mother Nature farted I'd lose the picture. Can't deal with not having TV anytime it was stormy out.

Well I live in a household that loves sports. We have all of the sport packages(the ticket, center ice, etc.). We have a pretty big bill so I couldn't really compare.

The only issue I have have with Directv is sometimes I'll have to go through the setup menu and reinstall the dish. Takes about 5 minutes but I usually notice a big improvement. With digital cable I have always had a problem with the picture being choppy. Never knew what the problem was but have experienced it on both Fios and Comcast. Oh and at least to my eyes I don't think their HD looks as crisp as DTV.

Don't all cable providers have those pointless channels? I've never notice it but thats mainly because I'm not a scroller. I pretty much go to the same 30 or so channels.

I've never had their internet(still using Comcast). I'd be curious to what the price difference was between theirs and others though. Comcast is pretty expensive.

With Fios I'm getting the internet, telephone with unlimited local and long distance, and cable with ALL the movie channels for about $175 a month.

Oh and I would like to add that I would never use Comcast Cable again. They are terrible. I feel as though I had to reset the box every other day. Their support is awful. Plus, never make their appointments on time. And they are pretty expensive.

I had Direct TV for a year.

Every month my bill was wrong, by about $50-$100. So they would turn it off every month. I'd call them, show them the error, they'd fix it, then try to charge me a reconnect fee. Then I had to return a few extra receivers (roommates moved out). They sent me boxes to pack them in. They were delivered in the rain when I wasn't home. Told them to send me more boxes. They charged $400 for the unreturned receivers. I explained the situation, they said it was in the system there was nothing they could do, other than have me pay it now and my money will be refunded later. I pay it, cause the wife and I can't really afford to go out, so the TV and computer are pretty much the extent of our entertainment budget. They send me 1 box, instead of 2. I send it back to them. They apply only $200 of the $400 to my next bill, and then shut my service off again, because they forgot to apply that $200 right away. They tried again to get me to pay a reconnect fee.

I tell them to finally f-off, and canceled my service. Since I signed a two year contract they decided they were going to charge me $500 to break the contract. I told them to straight up kiss my ass. They said it will automatically be coming out of my account through my debit card. I canceled my card before they could.

To this day they are still sending me crap in the mail, to re-up with them.

That is really good. My parents have all that(minus the movie channels) and I spend about 10 hours a week there. Never had a big problem with Fios other than some random feed issues and a slow menu. Oh and in the Philly area you can't get one of the big local sport channels.

I personally never have a house phone. Just use my cell for everything. But then again I'm about to turn 25 so I'm sure that will all change down the line.

Yeah, I have also already had some bad run-ins with Direct as well, not to mention the installer put a huge gash in my brand-spankin new Hardwood floor and not even 5 minuted after I told him to watch out for the Oak :pity: Of course, I can't really blame the last incident on Direct, but the overall experience is MUCH less than spectacular with them

Keep in mind FiOS (Fiber optic Sysem for those that are interested) is indeed Verizon's flavor of Fiber Optic networking, so they of course offer a package that includes Cell phone instead of Landline :up:

I had a landline, Smokin fast internet and middle package TV (No movies, DVR and 2 STB,s) and was paying just under 80.00 a month

Well damn all you naysayers-my installer was awesome, everything works, picture is crystal clear. I finally get to watch NFL Network again!

FiOS is not an option for me-not available. AT & T Uverse (Same thing as FiOS) is in town, but not on my street. Bright House cable doesn't carry NFLN and has only about 35-40 HD channels. And Sunday Ticket, well, nothing beats that.
