They're playing the Taste Of Minnesota (held 10 minutes from my house)tomorrow night, and Whitesnake is opening.
Here's the best part - IT'S FREE! :tongue2:

Have fun.
I wouldn't go for free. -
Bite your tongue! -
You BASTARD! I'm looking at my tickets right now for August and cursing your name that you get to see them sooner than me!
Betcha thought I was mad because yours is free-that's just good luck. Good for you! Have a great time and post the setlist so I know what I'm in for. -
Awesome, you'll have a blast I'm sure. I wonder if they still do 'Painkiller'.

Back with report
That was one of the best concerts I've ever been to, it was great that it was outdoors. I would estimate that there was at least 40 thousand people out there. I was about 100-125 feet from the stage, almost dead center - just to the right of the sound booth, on the barricade of the "free zone". There were probably 2500-3000 seats directly in front of the stage, in the "vip section" that you had to pay to get into.
Priest is far and away the tightest band I've ever had the pleasure of seeing. They DESTROYED Whitesnake, it wasn't even close.
Whitesnake did have one moment, when they closed the show with "Still of the Night". That rocked hard, but was nothing compared to what followed.
Priest started the show by playing British Steel in it's entirety (to celebrate it's 30th anniversary).
Here's the setlist:
01. Rapid Fire
02. Metal Gods
03. Breaking The Law
04. Grinder
05. United
06. You Don't Have To Be Old To Be Wise
07. Living After Midnight
08. The Rage
09. Steeler
10. The Ripper
11. Prophecy
12. Rock Hard Ride Free
13. Victim Of Change
14. Freewheel Burning
15. Diamonds And Rust
16. You've Got Another Thing Comin'
Nothing from my favorite album "Painkiller", but an EPIC show nonetheless! You guys will be blown away, no doubt in my mind. :hi5:Pagan, PrepDogg, Fin Fan In Cali and 1 other person like this. -
I wish they would play a song or two off Painkiller as well...specifically Painkiller and Touch of Evil...and maybe Metal Messiah from Demolition. I don't care what anyone says, Demolition kicked ***!!!
-
I doubt they will play any material from those 2 albums with Rob back in the band, though-they have a huge catalog to pull from with Rob on vocals, so I doubt they dip into those albums. I'd love to see it, though-especially "Burn In Hell" or "Death Row". -
I'm going to see them in August (wasn't free), if they don't play Painkiller I'm going to be pissed!
Still have never seen JP live and can't wait! -
The thread is about Priest, why come in and add nothing to the discussion if you don't like them? :pity:PrepDogg, TrueDolFan and Uncle Rico like this. -
I saw Priest on the Jugulator tour. They were amazing...If you haven't heard it, pick up the album 'Live 98 Meltdown.' It was the exact same set list that I saw in concert.
Here's the songs from that album:
CD 1
The Hellion
Electric Eye
Metal Gods
Death Row
Grinder
Rapid Fire
Blood Stained
The Sentinel
Touch Of Evil
Burn In Hell
The Ripper
Bullet Train
Beyond The Realms Of Death
Death Row
CD 2
Metal Meltdown
Night Crawler
Abductors
Victim Of Changes
Diamonds & Rust
Breaking The Law
The Green Manalishi
Painkiller
You've Got Another Thing Coming
Hell Bent For Leather
Living After Midnight
What I don't understand is why nothing from Painkiller, and Angel of Retribution is on that (current tour) set list.
But, thank God nothing from Nostradamus is on the list. That album blows. First time I've said that about a Priest album.
