He's just one of those guys who hit some sort of cosmic lottery, I mean damn, he's as talented as a tree sloth is a good dancer, yet he continually manages to show up.

 

There are a handful of asian character actors who take pretty much every role for Asians in cinema, maybe 4 of them, they are like immortals or something.

 

Elvis died on the toilet. The Hoff cannot compete with that while alive.

 

Potential candidates to make the Awesome Tree sometime in the future (these are not guys guaranteed a spot, but are an act of awesome or two away):
In no particular order: George Takei, Shaq, Charles Barkley, Richard Simmons, Alec Baldwin, Joe Biden, Michael Richards, Mickey Rourke, Charlie Sheen

 

Oh yes, consider the asian who was in the early 70's film "midway" was in the current film " RIPD, he also was in Kung Fu..they just are always there.

And I'd put Charlie Sheen ahead of Hoff, sorry/not sorry

FTR, my candidate list was not a completed list.
I'll give you Seagal and Reynolds as potentials but I don't see Hamilton and Cuba, yet. You are, however, in the right stratosphere.

I'll also add Tom Cruise, but he shares the same flaw that Mickey Rourke does (but without the amazing plastic surgery) they take themselves too seriously. They both drop that, then we're talking about star recruits.

I think an argument can be made that he could be a potential. There's some awesome missing, but i wouldn't fight hard to keep him off the potential list.

 

As I said, he's certainly missing some awesome. But as with all potentials, he's not out completely until he's dead, so there's time to, "up the awesome".

If you were famous, you'd be on the potentials list btw.
