Chad Henne finished with 18 INT. 1 was from a hail mary and 1 was from a tipped pass. He also had the least amount of dropped interceptions for a starting QB in the NFL with 1. That means he didn't get as lucky as a lot of other QBs from around the league.
There are also 18 other QBs ahead of him with the adjusted INT rate %, which means 18 other QBs threw more picks per pass attempt than our guy.
Obviously this is all speculation and all, but I just want to point out that Henne isn't as bad as everyone says he is.

So then the Bess TD in the Lions game was his only dropped int? Bull****! The Lions missed 4 possibly 5 picks! Chad Henne is terrible! A franchise killer, a team killer and a coach killer! It takes a lot more then a big ARM to be a NFL QB and everyother intangible Henne lacks!

This has been posted before as well (the article). -

I don't hat Ross I am disgusted with his handling of the situation, and even when he is wrong he is insulting our intelligence in his apology!
I don't hate Sparano, I just know this is as good as it gets with him! We are asking him to completely revamp and change his mentality and philosophy. You know the old saying a leopard doesn't change his spots?
I do hate Ireland! He is crap, a glorified talent scout. Don't kid yourself he was hand picked by Parcells because he listens to him like a good puppy!
I hate Chad Henne! The irony is I hate Ohio State too! That just matured my hate for Henne and no I am not a Michigan fan! Yearly I watched him shoot his team in the foot! I actually loath him and can't wait for the day his pathetic emotionless corpse is removed from our roster! He isn't a leader, he just sucks!
But most of all I hate Parcells! I have hated him since he came to Tampa for his second Superbowl! He is hands down the most arrogant PRICK!
We can agree to be different I guess! -

I hope they keep Henne around it may be too late but i'd really like to see the guy with a proper QB coach and Offensive coordinator. These guys did everything they could to ruin Henne, once his confidence was gone it was over with and the only way to fix it is to rebuild his confidence. The kid looked really good his first year here when he was playing with confidence. It's just a night and day difference from the Henne that was out there on the field this year, especially at home where the fans as well did everything they could to kill his confidence with all the Henne sucks chants and whatever else they came up with.

No Offense But I Really Dont Like Post Like This, I Doubt This Changes anyones opinion on Henne, and INT is an INT No Ifs ands Or Buts and im guessing this is supposed to make Henne Look not as bad as he really is but if you think about it, Do you feel comfortable everytime Henne Drops back and Throw the ball, When you do, You Got Urself a QB if you dont Theirs time for a change

Yes, Henne was terrible down the stretch and yes the home losses sucked azz.
But this is the 3rd youngest team in the NFL and a top 10 defense. A HC change would cost us Nolan with the possibility of a lock out. Not a risk anyone was willing to take, except the owner. Thank goodness Ireland was able to talk him out of it.
Finding an OC and QB is much easier than replacing an entire staff. -
this subject is really missing the point. its not the INTs that are the problem with chad. it is the lack of TDs

I would expect a little more.
Can he break one sometime.MarinePhinFan and smahtaz like this. -
The lack of TDs is pretty much the biggest failing. But at least when I saw games, the team rarely threw the ball into the end zone it seemed that everything was thrown short. And its much tougher to score that way.
But for Henne and Sparano's relationship, I don't know how you repair the damage. Before Henne was benched Sparano made a point of addressing fans criticisms telling all that Henne was the guy. What was it something like two weeks later and he was benched? Towards the end of the year as each game passed it seemed like things were getting worse. I've never seen a QB and offense look so completely lost over so many games. When the HC does not trust the QB I guess that is the end result. -
He says he's learned a lot from Bess, hopefully he learns he can't finish his routes like Bess.
Momentum should be his friend. -
Have to disagree Sparano is a horrible gameday coach with a tired offensive philosophy. Also it is pretty obvious from the presser what Ireland was saying was complete service. Every media member in the room reported the obvious tension between Sparano and Ireland, so I don't believe for one minute Ireland saved Sparano. I also don't buy this Tony was our guy all along crap! Ross wanted a new HC, but went about it all wrong resulting in candidates getting cold feet.
If finding a QB is so easy then why are we batting 0% since Marino retired?
Yeah Nolan did a nice job for us this year but I would never let a DC determine which direction I go at HC. Besides the defense was 14th overall in points which needs improve, we still struggle to cover a TE, and give up critical 3rd downs whenever we need a stop.
I know we are the 3rd youngest team in the league, but that doesn't mean anything if players only play at average levels. -
You are not going to like this because your are obviously a Henne guy. But everything you complain about in Marshall is directly Hennes fault. I look at Henne and grade him the way they graded us in college. Henne is constantly late in his delivery. In the NFL you are throwing into a very small passing hole. Henne takes to long to reconize the route and coverage. This causes him to deliver the ball a few steps after the break, which has allowed the defender, or defenders to diagnose the route and close. Also the majority of Hennes throws cause the WR to adjust, which allows the defender to close. High/hard, back hip, low, all take the WR off his stride. On several occasions I have seen you blame Marshall for the Ed Reed int, but what you are missing and what I guarantee the coaches graded Henne poorly on was the throw. Marshall is 6'4 his arms were extended and he was jumping. That means Henne threw a high/hard short in route. That throw has to come in waist to throat if you are looking for yac. Listen to P. Manning break down film, every play that didn't go as planned it is I didn't do this, I should have thrown it here, hell his WR could probably catch it then hand it to a defender and Manning would still take the blame. Now here in Dolphin land we have a QB and coach that immediately lay blame to the other players. Then when the coach reviews the film he changes his tone. Yeah I know Henne will say it is his fault, but at the sametime he is laying blame on the WR. Reminds me of a question my QB college in college always has if you told him the WR ran the the wrong route. " Then why did you throw it?" -
Henne, not a fan of, he is a Coach Killer type of Qb when Sparano said "he was making those throws in practices" that should tell folks all they need to know.
