Well these guys have nice physical tools but for one reason or another just have not worked out:
-Brandon James, explosive kick returner, who did not explode for the Colts 8 returns for a 16 ypa outcome is not very good, but still, 4.3 IS 4.3
-Justin Cole: Was a solid late round pick up as a passrushing DE from SJSU, this guy is the type who can head to the CFL for a career relaunch
-Sabby Piscitelli ex Penn State Safety he never really stuck in Tampa, a 07 #2 pick he is also a solid special teamer.
I think I'll toss interesting names on the list as the season winds down as teams will sign guys to have them in camp in 2011.

4.3 forty is overrated. You have to know how to use your speed and most of all, you need to have short area quickness. Some are going to disagree with me based off Sundays' game but Jacoby Ford is the same way. He does not have great short area quickness.

Would James be worth a practice squad stash moving into the labor problems?
TBH, Idk, I do know he was a "running back" at UF who rarely played Rb, which means his path to most anyone's roster is as a Returner.
Now two Te's who I feel will be available this offseason:
Jeremy Shockey, he just cannot shake the injury bug.
Owen Daniels, nightmare season coming back from an ACL, he is going to miss more time with a Hammy and Joel Dressen is playing well in his place as well as having 2 young Te's in Casey and Bynum behind him, and Daniels is a FA, he is a name to keep in mind for the Dolphins. -
I'm curious about this. -
For me the point was so obvious I just typed it out by wrote memory and did not think much more of it than that Alen.
BTW, there is a third type of returner a Mel Gray type who treated every return as his last chance to make the team, I have never seen anyone like him since then as he was just utterly fearless.alen1 likes this. -

The UFL has every intention of enforcing their 150k signing fee, but a way around it is to practice squad players then call them up to the 53 man roster.
And CT Qb Josh McCown is making the rounds, he was in camp in 08, and the UFL team he played for has all sorts of connections to Sparano do not be surprised if he winds up in Miami one way or another. -

And Moore is the first UFL to NFLer since the 150k fee was lowered to 25k but why would the patriots need him?
