So, I have no dog in this fight but I switch on the TV after a morning of work and see the Iowa-Indiana game on. 21-14 Indiana and right as I turn it on, they throw a TD pass. Under review. First, keep in mind that this is ruled a TD on the field. Second, on the replay the WR indisputably drags his foot as he catches the ball in his hands! It's clearly a TD on replay - in fact, had it not been ruled a TD on the field it should have been overruled)! Yet, they overturn the TD call!
(The announcers are saying it was wrong to over turn but they are not even making a big enough deal out of the replay - idiots).
It is abundantly clear that conference officials are doing all they can (both in the SEC and now the Big 10) to ensure that their undefeated teams get to play in the BCS championship.
Whatever the outcome of this game, the replay official of this game should be suspended the rest of the season - if not outright fired!

His foot was not dragging. His kneecap and foot hit at a very close time. His kneecap hit out of bounds and his foot (well toe) tapped in. I am guessing the officials actually slowed the replay down to see which one hit first, because what we seen on TV was not in slow motion or anything.
I personally thought his kneecap hit first, but I guess I am biased. Stitches told me he thought the same thing (IIRC) so I guess it's a ticky-tacky call that could go either way. -
Folks are still watching the Pro Wrestling that is masquerading as College Football these days?
I gave up, especially in big games, at least 4 have had terrible calls and the beat just keeps going on...why bother? -
I have to admit, I am pulling heavily for Iowa. That being said, that was a HORRIFIC overturn.
Very blatent blown :pity: -
I thought his knee did hit out of bounds first, but we may be talking about different plays, because I recall an announcer talking about another TD that should've been.
-
They scored on the next play anyways so I imagine they are talking about the play you are thinking of. -

Get creative vs weak opponents and play "Tressel Ball" Vs good opponents.
Why must you remind me of this? :cry:Stitches likes this. -

You want to see a horrific call, watch the Oklahoma St v Texas game. They didn't even review a play where the OSU guy clearly got a strip on a Texas player. Texas then converted third and long, and are still driving. Oklahoma State should have the ball at like the 28. This is BS.

That game reminded me of Dolphins vs Saints in many ways.
-
You want to see horrible officiating turn it to the MSU Gopher game.
-
Wow bro, you summed up the OSU philosophy in one paragraph....couldnt agree more.
Fire Tressel hire Jeff Fisher. :hi5: -

I guess i have taken the Anti-OSU thing too far, for those with no sense of humour I was just publicly venting while supporting the best team in the SEC at the same time...sorry to those who didnt get itStitches likes this. -
