Decent piece, nothing really revealing:

They did discuss Hard Knocks from last year. Highly, highly unlikely they would do it a 2nd year in a row, but as much as I loved Hard Knocks in Miami last year, this year would be the one to do it - with all the new pieces, Tannehill expected to really improve, etc. etc.. Would love to have some extra access to this year's camp!

I would do hard knocks every year... Best exposure you could get. And id love to see how the coaches and players have evolved together and Individually.
That said, I don't know if HK would even want us back. The only interesting personality was ocho cinco. I think we came across as very vanilla. Which doesn't matter if you're a dolphins fan but for the rest of america... -
Nobody should ever have to talk to Florio.

IDK, Slick....Florio has gotten much better since he went mainstream...Not that he still doesn't harp on some subjects that no one else is interested in, but he has improved....
Irish didn't say much of anything odd or new...He played the company role very nicely. He said much of the same things he's said [about how fa and the draft came about for us] as he's said in other media interviews.
As to HKs, well I didn't watch it last year, not really my cup of tea, but it did provide some positive vibes for the organization overall. Yea, we were boring [as HK teams go, I mean who can compete with the jests circus], and there were some revelations that many of us didn't know of before it aired. Really tho, it was an entertaining show for many of us football geek types, most particularly Phins fans this past year. It would be interesting to me to do it again, just to see where the team has grown and the staff has grown from since last year, but it's unlikely with 31 other teams that someone doesn't want to do it...I mean, I'd even watch it with Jerry Jones and the Dallas rodeo.... -

At least have the balls to spew some of your usual bull**** to Ireland there Trollio.

- Florio kinda looks like he went binge drinking the night before...good job by whoever did his makeup.
- Talks about having a "gut feel" that the move up to #3. Called it a buyer's market. Turned actual card in with 2-3 seconds left on their pick clock.
- Talks about having Miami's guys at the Draft getting ready to sprint up to turn in card (Florio asked about it and mentioned the Bears getting skipped or something).
- Pulled trigger with Oakland because they thought Philly would want Dion Jordan. Obvious coaching ties with Chip Kelly, wanted to jump Philly.
- Tannehill and Philbin excited about Mike Wallace. Tannehill texted him "gotta get it done" with respect to signing Wallace.
- Was asked about who was one guy in Draft or FA who you thought, "there's no way we're getting him". Answered Dion Jordan, laughing. "Wasn't a chance in heck we'd get that player". Strategy became, if we didn't get Dion, who do we get.
- Talks about closing gap with Patriots, goal is to win AFC East.
- Thought Hard Knocks was "good experience". NFL Films is very professional, didn't think it was poor exposure for franchise.
- Says Hard Knocks "hasn't asked" about doing again, so he hasn't thought any more of it. -
Ugh, PFT of course finding a way to sling in some type of veiled Miami hate as always, this time calling us the fish to kick off the clip. Do they use slang names (especially derogatory in nature) for all the other teams?

Dude, just face it, your prior criticism of our GM for not doing things the way YOU WANTED might prove to be entirely unwarranted, as his plan was much broader in scope and spanned a longer duration than anything you had floating around your head, but because you couldn't envision the final plan in fruition or actually see it on the field, you criticized it.ChrisKo likes this. -

I would have preffered a thread titled "Ireland punches Florio in the face multiple times".

All this hate on the creator of a free football site that has been providing inside information before many had to hear the mention of their name on Sportscenter to have a clue and even after blowing up continues to provide free up to the minute updates on all things NFL under one link? To the crows with you. What's the matter? Still bitter that he was telling you about your Alabama coach whilst you were *****ing of the hearsay despite the fact that the link had the very ambiguous name, Rumor Mill?

It's really interesting to me that Ireland won't talk to the local guys unless required by the NFL at certain points throughout the year, but he decided to talk to a national audience in Mike Florio. There are some implications there that I like.
