Jake Long was the right pick. We draft Matt Ryan, and he would have ended up like Stafford in Detroit, tons of potential, but cannot stay healthy due to shoddy blocking.

We were 1-15 three years ago. The bad teams in the league struggle to get out of that rut. Right now we are going toe to toe with the best in the league, we just aren't good enough to get past that. Is it talent? Is it coaching? I personally think the answer is a little of both, but with our youthful roster, I remain optimistic.

How about Jimmy Johnson taking control of the Cowboys in '89, going 1-15 that year, then making the playoffs in '91 at 11-5 and the next year going 13-3 and winning the super bowl?

Unless my math is off, that's 3 years to be a contender and 4 to win it all.

We've played 6 teams that are better than we are and we're 4-4. If you thought we'd be any better than 5-3 you're delusional. We're a young team, with lots of new parts and we're still learning to play together, while facing established veteran teams with more talent, and holding our own against them for the most part. Rome wasn't built an a day. Stop your friggin crying.

 

theres always that one exception but for every one team you can name that turned things around in 3 seasons, i can name 100 that didnt....

how is any of that related to THIS FO? anything that happened more than 3 seasons ago is moot. Stop judging this FO for the pasts failures. They had to completely rebuild this franchisee from practically nothing and have gotten a team to be a playoff contender year in and year out. Thats way more than any of the others.

by firing this regime your admitting to be rebuilding again and starting the process all over and then your process of failure will continue. you can only succeed in this league if you have stability and keep on building.. Every season we are adding KEY players to building a great franchise.
