I somehow doubt things will fall our way like it did for Pittsburgh last year.

 

I think that when you have less than a 1% chance in week 15, they're taking into consideration the possibility of a zombie apocalypse breaking out in the the entire Northeast. Then we get in by default.

Exactly what have you seen from this team in the past two weeks which makes you think this team should qualify for the playoffs? Prior to the Ravens game, they controlled their own fate. All they needed to do was win their remaining games and they were assured a spot in the playoffs.

Now two weeks later, they have a 0.1 % chance of making the playoffs. They may not yet be totally out of the playoff race, but the way this team has performed over the past two, they have clearly shown they don't have what it takes to be a playoff team.

At this point, all I care about is who the next head coach will be and what player they will take with their pick in the first round of the draft.

 

We have no business in the playoffs.

 

We need the Chiefs to go 2-0, Ravens 0-2, SD 0-2 and us 2-0.

Edit: and Houston to beat Bmore then lose to Jax.

 

While improbable, that could actually happen if the Chiefs don't bench their starters in week 17.

While I just cringe at the thought of this team actually making the playoffs this year, because they have clearly showed in the past two weeks they are not a playoff caliber team.

I can't help but be impressed by the eternal optimism of the few who still believe in this team. I remember I had that same faith in this organization in my younger years. I never thought they were out of it until they were mathematically eliminated.

Of course when I was younger, the Dolphins had Shula as their head coach and they were nearly ALWAYS in the playoffs. The last 15 years has taken that optimism away from me in regards to this organization. Hopefully one day I will get it back.

 

So there is a very, very, very slight chance for the Dolphins to make it into the playoffs, and that chance relies on other teams to put them in there? Isn't it a frustrating thing that the Dolphin's give us hope every year and then they yank the rug out from under us? The Dolphins always have their fate in their own hands and they manage to eliminate themselves!

 

That's why it's called mathematically eliminated...until then, you never know.
