Conu mentioned that he looked explosive and one can see why, those are blistering times for a 260 pd man:

This guy could be a sleeper for us, he does have a iffy shoulder, but physically he is "just as' the top names in the draft but is more than likely a 2nd or very early 3rd rd pick.

Worilds said he has played at 263 pounds at VT and he checked in at 254 at the Combine IIRC. Nine pounds lighter, which is interesting. In an interview, he talked about how much more difficult it was this year than his sophomore year because he said he saw a lot of double teams. His sophomore year he had a lot of one on one matches with OT's but not his junior year. He was asked about playing coverage and he said that he wish VT did more of it because he really likes it. He was asked about his pass rush moves and why he didn't use more of them; he responded by saying that the double teams made it difficult on him because he was unable to use his spin move consistently. The most impressive thing that I found about this interview? They asked him about training in Florida and he said he just came back from a workout before doing the interview. Spent 13 HOURS (in one day) in the gym.

He's got the fasted 10-yard split amongst OLBs according to this article.

I just developed a man-crush on this guy. Is that normal?
-
Worilds is an interesting study, he is clearly as physically gifted as any OLB/DE type in this draft, but there are some questions about him, but if the Staff evaluates him correctly it would allow the #12 to be used on Thomas or Bryant or Williams or McClain.
-
Earl Thomas 12 and Worilds 43 turns this defense around quick. Add in Jimmy Graham or Carlton Mitchell in round 3 and Jeff Owens in Round 4, now we are cooking.
-
i didnt watch the entire video, but he seemed to get man handled everytime they ran the ball at him
-
This guy has been on my "must have" list since forever. Absolutely terrific football player. If the shoulder checks out, then he's a 1st round pick IMO.SICK likes this. -
thanks boom. good to know
-
I'd hate to see this guy in the AFCE if he wasn't with MIA :( -
I keep thinking of "Cameron Worrel" for some reason...

i don't see us going kindle due to his size ... why wouldn't we consider Worilds at say 20 ... after we trade down ??
what we do know is that this FO loves them some Beamer players .... so would not be a terrible shock ....
Boom, unless Parcells falls in 'love' with someone at 12 .... don't see us staying there ... outside of maybe Bryant / Thomas .... is there anyone else that you think could sway him to pull the trigger at 12 .... i don't .... and really don't believe Thomas at 12 would do it either.
i will believe thru draft day that we will trade down and go OLB in rd 1. Maybe we trade down twice and still end up with a guy like Worilds ?? -
Raph .... if Berry falls to us .... there will be a LOT of happy folks (less the Bryant camp) ....
i for one really want a game changing OLB .... but having Berrry would make me very happy as well. -
If you're taking Graham at 12 or Worilds at 43 then Worilds. That would mean you might be taking Dez Bryant or Earl Thomas at 12. To have Bryant/Thomas and Worilds for me, is better than Graham and Taylor Price or Graham and a 2nd round FS.
sports24/7 and MrClean like this. -
Jason Worilds in the 4th rd would be incredible value.
Thomas or Bryant are potential once every ten yrs types of players, imho Gresham is as well, but that is strictly my own view.
Jimmie Graham could be one of those types of players as well. -
Ofcourse, now that we've said we don't want Kindle they'll take the bugger at 12 and he'll be an All Pro 10 straight years. -
"Sergio Kindle greatest linebacker in dolphins history!!!"
Oh man...:pity: -
-
That's nearly DeMarcus Ware level athleticism.
-
Boom, thanks greatly ....
I do believe if we do go OLB at 12 - then its Graham .... but i still believe we can trade down once and still get him at ~ 15-20
If you are that keen on Thomas, then i have no problem with Berry/Bryant/Thomas at 12 ... as i really don't see us taking Spiller.
depending upon how it goes, we could actually trade up a bit in the 2d to get Worilds ... have no problem with that either ....
what i am tracking is that there is a big drop off at S after Berry/Thomas .... so if we want a guy that can step in this year .... then our hand is forced at 12.
i am not sold that there is a bonafide special OLB sitting there at 12 .... so we can take some risk, and wait ... there are moves we can make to try and rein in Worilds in late rd1 or early rd 2. as i've said, we all know how much of a penchant Parcells has for Beamer products ...... for WR - i like the raw UCONN product Easely ...
for our 2d OLB, would really like Edds ...
