The jets December schedule is BRUTAL
@ Pats
MIAMI
@Steelers
@ Bears
BUFFALO (Jan 2)
Not only are three of these games against division leaders, but they are all outdoors, in the cold weather. Last time I checked, Mark Sanchez don't play so good in the cold. Ladanian Tomlinson is no spring chicken. Those old-man hammies tend to get sore in the cold weather.
We all remember 2008 jets. Sitting pretty at 8-3, coming off a big win at the Titans. Everybody was talking about how the jets were the best team in the league. They proceeded to win only one more game, finishing 9-7.
History will repeat itself.

We need to win out and have them lose three out of the last five. That's just to get into tiebreaker scenarios. We really need to win every game and have the Jets, Pats, Steelers, or Ravens fall apart in December. This is a tough year, some seasons we would still be in pretty decent shape right now. That ref screw job in the Steelers game could really bite us in the rear.

He has played in 2 games below 40 degrees. -
-
Vs Cincy he threw zero picks.
In the other game under 40..he threw 3 picks. That was vs Atlanta.
The game he threw 5 picks was vs Buffalo in October of 2009.
In the playoff game in Cincy it was below freezing..
12-15 182 yards 1 TD 0 INT -
LMAO! Poor Jests fans.
Can you guys never get anything right?
The Oct. 2009 game was the first game Sanchez ever played where the temp was under 55 degrees. The game time temperature for that game was 42F with a wind chill of 30F.
Here is a quote:
It was body-numbing for the fans who sat through it at the frigid Meadowlands and mind-numbing to comprehend. The Jets rushed for 318 yards, including a franchise-record 210 by Thomas Jones (71-yard touchdown run), but they committed six turnovers and blew a 13-3 lead to lose their third straight game. The horror show ended on Rian Lindell's 47-yard field goal with 2:44 left in OT.

So if the NEW YORK DAILY NEWS calls the temperature "frigid" it must have been pretty cold.
So, thanks for proving me right. In Sanchez's 3 cold weather games he has thrown 8 INT's with 1 TD and is 1-2.

Alright someone PM Byroan and have him put Sanchez back into his siggy.

If anything, I would look at last year where the Jets were 4-1 in Dec/Jan with the same coaches and more of the same players. But that doesn't fit the December choke profile, so I guess we will take a pass :D. BTW, what was Miami's Dec/Nov record last year? -
-
Hey, it was the NY Daily News that called the day "frigid", take it up with them.
As for all the other excuses, hey, you can only go by what he's done. And so far in cold weather he has 1 TD, 8 INT's and is 1-2. -
So far at least, Sanchez has played bad in (to him) cold weather. -
The stage is set..:chuckle: -

And since Sanchez sucks according to Phins fans, it is amazing what he has done in his career vs Miami...

In those "cold" games, at least "cold" according to yahoo sports, the end all be all of deciding what's cold in the NFL, he's 1-2 with 8 INT's and 1 TD. -
BWWHAHAHAHA!! -
His REAL stats are:
693 yds
6 TD's
0 INT's
53% comp rating
For comparison, let's see how well Henne has done:

5TD's
1 INT

I can't believe the jets fans are still making excuses for Sanchez. This time, they're trying to debate the definition of "cold".

Again, and according to the other Jests fan and yahoo, if you go by what they consider "cold", Sanchez is 1-2 with 8 INT's and 1 TD.
So, in reality, the OP wasn't stupid and is correct. -
-
And FWIW, I don't put much stock in the Sanchez cold weather statistic for 2 reasons: 1. limited sample size and 2. Sanchez was a first year rookie starter last year. But whatever blows your hair back. -

Miami is an easy team, huh? :wink2: -

Honestly, no divisional game is easy and rarely are games our two teams play easy either. That being said, the Jets are going to be expected to win that game. They will only be favored in two games the rest of the way and that is the Miami game and the Buffalo game. But we all know that doesn't mean an automatic win.
Irregardless of the outcome of the Pats/Jets game, I am sure you will hear a lot of Jets talk in the NY media on how they should beat Miami. And a lot of that has to do with the fact that they already beat them in FL. Personally, I think the game is a tossup.
So long story short - I was busting balls :tongue2: -

Where did you get the temperatures? I did a google search and found only limited weather info on past games.
Thanks!
