And to kick things off for the 2020 season check out this little segment from NBC:
3:54 What? Say what? Based on what? No we haven't.
4:03 That's exactly what he says! Tebow? Did you forget Tannehill and the Dolphins?
4:31 I agree. Not a lot. Jets need to move on and not waste any more of Darnold's time and career. -
Gase couldn’t lead a drop of rain to the ground. He fooled me the first year in Miami but when you really think about it...
Cutler played in the weakest division in the NFL. Hecwas bound to have a good year.
Tebow, like him or not is a winner. He finds a way to win. Gase had nothing to do with that.
Manning? Uh, anyone really going to say Gase had anything to do with this legrnd’s success in Denver?
Tannehill? Same quarterback two different teams and Vrabel was able to get from Tannehill what Gase couldn’t.
And now folks seem to believe he’s going to be develop Darnold into a league leading quarterback?
I don’t think soxphinfanx and Tin Indian like this. -
Like seriously how can a professional franchise make that kind of mistake..
Our mistake hiring was bad enough but theirs right after he gets fired is just mind bottling as Ron burgundy would sayTin Indian and texanphinatic like this. -
I can honestly say hes worse than Mark Sanchez.Dol-Fan Dupree likes this. -

That team just gets worse and worse, players are alienated and unhappy and Darnold looks like a total bust.
I am still baffled that they saw Gase 2x times a year, saw Miami fire him and think "man, we need some of that dysfunction here!" -
So our division will soon have Cam, Tua, Allen & Lawrence. Yikes.
Watching the jets implode again is great, but the thought of them getting lawrence makes me angry -

-
Darnold is trash.
-
Well, you can tell its a Gase coached team. Undisciplined football all around. Tons of penalties.
-
-
Heck of a play by Jeudy.
-
How does Gase still have a job?
-
-
Thinking is that disrupting the continuity will badly affect Darnold.
Me. I personally feel bad for Darnold, but apart from that this is the best news since the Giants beat the 16-0 Patsies in the SB. -
He is done. Sometime today it's over. -

All what I can say is that Gase has continued the standard he set at the Dolphins
1) Atrocious OL play. People who have played college OL have commented this is directly attributable to the low impact practices he runs.
2) Bad discipline across the team. From penalties to poor routes to missing blocking assignments. Standards are not being enforced. Doesn’t matter what you say about discipline, you have to enforce it.
3) Really horrible game planning. He seems to think his schemes are so genius no one else has the capacity to pick up his tendencies.
4) An unwillingness to change. For one example: No matter how often WR screens are demonstrated to be garbage he calls the continuously.
5) He plays favorites in the locker room, which sooner or later causes the locker room to tune him out.
6) He throws players under the bus in news conferences “We have to execute better” never “I need to adjust our schemes”.
At this point I think Joe Philbin is a superior coach to Gase. Philbin had his problems, but he left behind a team that was just about competent if uninspiring. After Gase the Dolphins were a smoking ruin, and with the Jets he’s bouncing the rubble. -

The Jets are 750:1 to win the Super Bowl, meaning if you bet $100 on it, you would lose $100.AGuyNamedAlex likes this. -
Some Jets fans are pushing back against calls for Gase to get fired. They want him to go 0-16, have that on his coaching record so he can never get another NFL job.
