I must admitt watching Joe Burrow from LSU has me thinking he is a legit option for us for a future franchise Qb.Stats aside he looks better to me than Tua and his 5 yd passes that turn into 50 yd tds.Looking forward to LSU VS ALABAMA this year.

Despite all his acclaimed work with 3DQB, he needs to shore up that awful throwing motion before I even consider looking at him more as a pro. His throwing motion is too elongated, with his elbow too far from his body, and the point of the ball facing at times anywhere from 70 to 110 degrees away from the intended target, which can and will lead to a multitude of problems; such as but not limited to, timing consistency, accuracy, fumbles, etc. in the NFL.

Am I the only one here who remembers when CK was just a normal dude? His opinions arent any more accurate than anyone elses here in my experience.
Also charting several throws is a terrible way to gauge arm strength to begin with. Youd have to know if the QB was even attempting to throw it ad hard as possible, his body position, ect.
Arm strength is probably the easiest thing to add as well so it's sort of irrelevant unless you're Chad Pennington level of noodle arm.Fin-O likes this. -
Burrow as I have been saying since sept is the better player by far this year! Not to mention he is not made out of glass. -
Burrow has been the best college QB this year, but that doesn't make him the best NFL prospect. If not for the injury concern then I would have Tua as a better NFL prospect, easily. I'm waiting on more medical news and for Tua to be further along in his recovery before I come to any conclusions about where I would rank him now. Obviously people will have to come to their own conclusions on how much to weigh the injury issue.
I like Burrow as a prospect. I love his accuracy and anticipation (although I do think his accuracy numbers are bit inflated due to how many 50/50 balls went his way). I also love his pocket sense, leadership and toughness. But his arm strength is borderline. There will be some NFL throws he can't make. How often those throws would be required will depend on the system he goes to. He reminds me of something between Gardner Minshew and Tom Brady. That's not bad at all.danmarino likes this. -
