Joe Philbin live on NFL insiders..new injury report.

It’s no big surprise that cornerback Dimitri Patterson (groin) and defensive tackle Paul Soliai (knee) are out for Sunday’s game.

But receiver Mike Wallace (groin) and center Mike Pouncey (ankle) are listed as questionable, along with safety Chris Clemons (hamstring), linebacker Koa Misi (knee) and third-string quarterback Pat Devlin (ankle).

The injuries to Wallace and Pouncey come as a surprise.

Quarterback Ryan Tannehill (shoulder) is listed as probable along with rookie cornerbacks Jamar Taylor (hernia) and Will Davis (toe).

Poor falcons right...fu&$ them.

well at least it looks like Taylor and Davis will finally make their debut

Sam Baker is out for the Falcons, Roddy White and Julio Jones both listed as questionable, we know White is really only a decoy at the moment, i wonder why the coaching staff is not telling him to shut it down for a few weeks, **** that never missed a game streak...that ankle can't get better with action on it

Lost in this discussion over whether Philbin is "Hot or Not," do we really have to worry about Wallace now????

Soliai and Patterson out. Will Davis and Jamar Taylor back. Clemons looking like a game time decision. Koa Misi questionable.

Makes for an interesting dynamic. Jimmy Wilson is the guy that would take over slot corner for Patterson on nickel downs. But he's also likely the guy that would take Clemons' place at safety. If Clemons is out, does that mean Will Davis goes in at slot corner on nickel downs? Lots of pressure if so. No doubt Harry Douglas is the primary guy there but Julio Jones has been some snaps there lately. Caught a long TD at that spot.

I agree with DJ though. Don't feel bad about the Falcons' injuries. We've got our own to deal with. Defending Julio Jones, Roddy White, Harry Douglas and Tony Gonzalez with a secondary potentially missing two starters won't be easy.

Except that in reality Probable means 100% chance he plays, Doubtful means 0% chance he plays, and Questionable seems to mean somewhere around 70% chance he plays.

Teams have actually had to answer inquiries when a Probable player sits out or a Doubtful player suits up. The league considers those designations to be pretty much Out or In, and the only way you get away with doing the opposite without getting an inquiry is if you upgrade or downgrade them to Questionable the day before (or maybe even the morning of?) the game.

We get that, it's just all of a sudden he is listed as 50-50 when there was no sign of this up until today. Wonder what happened!

Yeah, I don't get when some of these players are getting so hurt? Patterson and Wallace being the two that I am most confused about.

Patterson still ailing.. this could nag him for a long time, in this case.

Soliai, I hope this is just to make sure he is 100% before they allow him back.

The depleted secondary is no bueno.

If we don't get at least 4 or more sacks, plus double the hurries and hits then I think we lose.

D line in the spotlight this week. Also, I think this is the week Lamar Miller goes off. That's our offensive spark.
