Honestly, I am surprised. I thought Pruitt was gonna make it.

 

Even good ST players are at risk if they dont project to be starters at some point.

 

Considering we are thin at WR wondering if we are expecting to sign other teams castoffs

 

That surprised me. Oh well, he should have played better.

 

Or perhaps making room at WR to bring in someone via trade with those picks we got yesterday? Granted they'd have to cut someone else or ship a player out...

 

Ouch it's going to be to 53 next. Takes a deep breath wondering about our WR's to be.

 

I at this point wouldn't be surprised if they literally cut EVERY WR they have and just ran the ball solely......

 

If one thing comes out of this training camp, I hope it is that Omar learns some humility. Not likely, I know, but he's been wrong about a LOT with this staff.

I'd have cut Naanee, but since Pruitt hasn't done anything either, just as good.

 

At least Pruitt plays well on special teams. I don't know where Naanee plays well.

 

Eh...i think besides Bess all deserve to be cut.

 

Can't say I'm terribly surprised. He may be a very good special teams player, but he was probably a bit too one-dimensional.

 

Naanee is a Hall of Famer at Omar Kelly Field.

Hogan's chances of making this team just doubled.

 

Pruitt has barely seen any snaps! Naanee is out there all the time doing nothing.

AdamHBeasley Pruitt is listed on the roster in the game notes the Dolphins just sent out, but I assure you he's gone.

This list is so bad when you actually take the time to gander at it.....holy God...

 

I'm rather surprised. I also thought his special teams play would have had him making the final 53.

 

I would keep Hartline, Bess, Matthews, Hogan and Gates. The sixth spot, I'm neutral as to whether you give it to Wallace, Naanee, Moore or Fuller...or nobody at all.

I have a tough time believing that B.J. Cunningham has earned his place here. He had 40 pass snaps and had produced about 24 yards (counting the pass interference) through the Carolina game. He also cost the team 17 yards on the illegal formation call, or at least it was my interpretation that it was Cunningham who left the tackle uncovered. I'm sure he got a fair number more snaps against Atlanta and he still didn't produce another catch or yard. I'm not inclined to believe a guy is winning a job by producing less than a fifth of a yard for every snap you give him. But Joe Philbin outlined before that his criteria don't necessarily break down to numbers or production but rather a "feel" and "can this guy play or not"...which can be a brilliant way to do things, or it can be a totally misguided way to do things.

JPru was my boy. I predicted him to make the team 2 months ago. Well I guess anyone can be wrong once in their life ;)

So much for Sherm's saying Rizzi would have input on the backup WRs, or Rizzi's comment about Pruitt being his best gunner ever was mere hyperbole.

 

Slot receivers this preseason have been:

1. Davone Bess
2. Julius Pruitt
3. B.J. Cunningham
4. Chris Hogan
5. Jeff Fuller
6. Marcus Thigpen

Naturally, releasing the #2 guy on the list provides an opportunity for #3, #4, #5 and #6.

 

I was thinking that as well. What's the point of 6? I'd rather get BPA off the waiver wire regardless of position

 

Hogan's strength should help him win a spot for special teams.

Hogan could have some RAC opportunities due to his tight end like strength.

However he will probably be cut.

 

Why? I guess it's because I'm old, but the Huron stuff got old long ago for me. It was only funny when CK was making the comments to Boomer in the S-S, pretending to be Juan Huron. That was very funny. Just throwing his name into posts is nothing but a yawner to me.
