For all of his bluster, for all of his complaints he continues to hurt himself more than his school or scouts could ever do. Congratulations Kelly, for proving that you're a failure and no team in it's right mind should spend a pick on you before a team actually does it. -

Jerry Rice also could not run a 4.65....but he sucked too didn't he????

BuckeyeKing likes this.

I hope he pulls a Sidney Rice. He is the only WR I want at 32.

If this is a first time thing for him, I would still take him because it could be a "heat of the moment" comment and he was just dissapointed/embarrased in his showing which still should not be an excuse but it happens to all of us.
The part where I agree with you is that he shouldn't have had an outburst on his coaches because they do not do the workouts, he does and there should be no excuses for a poor showing. I am sure that coaches gave it their best in coaching him up and he just failed to deliver at that time.
Thats just my take on it. -
n addition to running his forty in the mid-4.6 range at Wednesday's private Pro Day, NFL.com's Gil Brandt reports Malcolm Kelly benched 225 14 times.
Kelly's camp sent out an email saying he touched the mid-4.4s, but Brandt had Kelly at 4.63, 4.65 on a fast track. Kelly's short shuttle was 4.15. He was thrown 22 "catchable passes" from stand-in QB Eric Crouch and caught 21.
