Kenny Britt,anyone?

I'm a Britt fan, and I am pretty sure Greg is too. I would have no problem with him (at this point) with our 2nd 2nd rounder.

Yeah surprise, Greg being a fan of a Rutger player :tongue2:

Would love it if this kid fell to us in the fourth. Would be a very very good compliment to Camarillo, Bess, Ginn etc. IMO is very similar to Derek Hagan....hopefully without the mental letdown transfering to the Pro's..

EDIT: Second 2nd rounder? I seriously doubt the FO jumps that far for him.
Third rounder perhaps, but more likely ONLY if he is still there in the 4th. With quite a bit of talent at WR, but not many first rounders likely, I could see him falling anywhere from the late 3rd to middle late 4th.

Just got done isolating Kenny Britt on tape against Louisville. Unfortunately, I missed the first quarter so didn't get that part but I did get the remaining two he played in (he sat out the fourth). He looks good out there. He does a good job of running routes. On the medium routes, I thought he did a good job of cutting and wheeling around. He displays good concentration (watch it go into his hands and then turn to run) as well as good ability to separate on deep routes. He isn't quick off the line of scrimmage though. He'll flash it once in a while but he doesn't have that initial quickness. Despite the lack of initial quickness, he has good second level quickness - getting past the defender with a move to release into his route down field. He's a willing blocker and he sustains the blocks and he's physical as well. A route that stood out to me, it was a highlight but it stood out, was his double-move to score a touchdown. He goes inside about ten yards and then turns it outside, accelerating and beating his man despite an pass interference. The Louisville DB nudges him and he bounces off, accelerating down field. Teel throws it behind Britt so Britt adjusts his body to the ball, catches it with full concentration and then proceeds to turn and run into the end zone. Watching him, he reminds me a bit of Terrell Owens. He doesn't have the freak physique but he stands out when your watching him.

Where do you think he will be drafted,and in what round?

2nd round is my guess.

What are the Dolphins chances of getting him?

I think we'll have a good chance of getting him with our 2A but I'm not confident that we will go after him if he is there. With needs along the front seven, its unlikely.

Are they even considering a WR that high in the draft?

I don't think so because of the reason above.

I like Britt. Alen is right, he does have some Terrell Owens in him; coming off the line and getting into his stride he definitely looks like TO. I don't see him as a blazer and if he runs under 4.45 I'll be surprised. But he has a big, wide body and he uses it to shield defensive backs from the ball. The difference between Britt and other 4.45+ wideouts is that he's an excellent route runner. Alen pointed to his TD route, but actually the most impressive route was the one he ran for the games first score, where he took the corner with a beautiful double move, using his head and almost certainly his eyes to perfection with no slowing down during his transition. Good hands, a willing blocker.......has all the makings of a solid 2nd rounder.

Greene is a very forceful run defender, but he struggles when the ball's in the air. He's also had a very average senior year which is going to hurt him.

The guy I compare Britt most to is Andre Johnson. Johnson's no burner but he has more than adequate speed. That said, I think he'd cost a low-mid first rounder (provided he does have 4.45-4.5 speed and not higher/lower) and that all but takes us out of the picture unless Parcells has an aneurysm. He has consistent production, experience (more so than any other non-Crabtree WR in his category i.e. Heyward-Bey) because though he's young he doesn't play like it, and the mental/physical tools you look for.

Andre Johnson had the 3rd fastest 40 time of any WR at the 2003 Combine. I think it's a little inaccurate to refer to him as "not a burner". He's much faster than Britt.

4.43. Fast but not exactly one of the fastest ones to date (I consider sub 4.4 as burner but everyone has their own definitions). I'd put Britt on the high end at 4.45.

Going back to Britt, great hit at the end of the half when he was playing safety against Louisville.

4.40 is flying- for a guy his size it's downright scary. Andre Johnson is a monster and might be the best receiver in football. I can't think of anyone better right now.
