Kiper has Ingram. McShay has Pauncey, with Ingram going to the Pats with their late 1st rounder.
I really liked Ingram. Now, I have to reconsider. LOL

The Dolphins love bringing in cornfed lineman, so the Pouncey pick makes sense.
-
Wouldn't mind Ingram, would almost prefer one of those premium passrushers who will be there at that position as no ILB really stands out in this draft. -
-
I would have bet the farm that we would trade down and try and pick up a second, but with the labor agreements up in the air, I'm leaning toward an offensive player at fifteen, don't know if RB or WR is the right pick. But I will tell you one thing, if they pick an offensive lineman at 15, there will be a bigger uproar than the Ginn pick. We need speed on this team.

Sadly, no TE is worth the #15, which to me means a Day Starter type of Olinemen, or a surprise pick for the Defense, or maybe a trade back.
As for Hartline, tbh I do not know what to make of him, you can see flashes of really goodness, then you can see him play poorly, add in he does not handle Returns and he is a sort of platypus of a Wr, now he could be kept if we add someone like Chad Owens from the CFL to handle Returns only. -

Imho the top 3 in this draft are all defensive players:
-Fairley
-Bowers
-Peterson
The Qb class is sketchy, the Running Back class is sketchy as well. -
Poor value FN, especially when you consider a potential offseason of no practices, he has to learn to play G at an NFL level in whatever amount of Training Camp that there will be. -
Interior OL needs attention so I dont mind the Pouncey pick, Ingram is a waste unless the forementioned issue (Interior OL) is addressed. Mankins would be great but unlikely imo.
-
I love Pouncey as a G but maybe its cause i'm a Florida fan. Also this is his first year as a Center He's always been a Guard until this year. I see a lot of mocks having the Steelers taking Pouncey.
-
I think if Miami addresses RB in FA by signing D Williams then I see Miami trying to trade down and taking best OL available. Otherwise, I think Ingram would be the pick at #15. Doesn't appear RW will be back or wants to be back playing for Sparano. Doubt Miami throws the type of $$$ RB is trying to cash in on.
Obviously, Green will be gone by pick #15 but if Jones of Alabama drops to #15 I wouldn't mind his name being called. Without adding a big-play WR we won't be seeing the glory days of Marino any time soon as Ross wants it.gafinfan likes this. -
With the new mandate I have to think we will finally draft an explosive and skill offensive player .
Ingram seems to be the logical choice at that spot although I hope we have some other ideas as decent running backs could be drafted later on .He is not a special RB IMO .Certainly not another Emmett Smith as some have suggested.
Who else fits the bill ? A QB, a WR perhaps even a skilled TE .I am not sure there is anyone who fits that bill other than Ingram .Perhaps it would be best to trade down this year unless we have a bead on a QB that we like. -
This pick cannot be a lineman. A first round guard is ridiculous. And really so is a RB.
We have to solve the QB puzzle once and for all. -
I don't see a lineman but it's not a bad idea. Finally getting a player on the line who could be stellar and be here for a while.
Don't see it though. I see a more fancy pick like Ingrammroz likes this. -
I exhaust my options of recovering that 2nd round pick without having to drop down in the draft to do so..Trading current players is something iam serious about.
I like having the balance on offense that a Marshall, Ingram, Bess provides...
There is no running back close imo to the abilities and intangibles of Mark Ingram... -
That said I really don't think one worth the first round pick will be available.
If Gabbert was there he's the only one I'd be excited about.
Otherwise I personally hope we trade down, recoup the second and grab two prospects from the 2nd round pool.mroz likes this. -
In some ways I'd prefer it as Vern Carey had a long learning curve. -
I'm actually concerned that an underperforming WR, RB or TE will have an amazing combine, pull out a 4.3 40 and we'll turn into the Raiders - picking speed guys who aren't football players.
Could easily see it happening. There may not be a top 15 TE there right now, but as soon as one of these 250 pounders runs a 4.5, we may see one. -
I love running an offense thru a great back Pod..He's so decisive man, I mean instinctually there is no hesitation, the epitome of a downhill runner..with such great balance and power...Outstanding in the screen game and out of the backfield..He's the full package brother..character out the wazoo. -

I understand some people don't like taking running backs in the first round because you can find good ones later on, but Mark Ingram is a special talent. A talent at a position we desperately need. If he's available, you take him.
-
Qb will have to come from other means than the draft imho, Rb is not that hard to find, OL really depends on who is healthy and if there is a FA this yr, Te..never know.
I'd like them to kick the tires on LJ Smith, and Shuler showed good downfield speed. -
Not that I'd be opposed to Ingram, what happens if they take Von Miller, then a LG in rd #3, then a Rb like Williams in the 4th or 5th rd?
THAT is why I have been banging the CFLer drum, Irish has to do some great GM work this offseason with a missing #2 pick, to me adding Manny A and Chad Owens and Phil Hunt is a no brainer as that frees up draft picks for usage on the Oline or at Running Back. -
Weisnewski might not go in first round, and hes 100x the player at either Guard or Center.
Pouncey will go mid second round. -
Big difference is that Ingram doesnt need the line that Smith did. Smith averaged almost 3.0 YBC (Yards before contact) and only 1.6 after
Just stating the facts.
