I say we get the guy from the Allstate commercials for left tackle- we need a little more mayhem on the line this season.

Do you really believe Flores is calling the shots on these personnel moves? A first time rookie head coach? No doubt he's going along with these moves but, this buck stops somewhere else.

So, with the state of our offensive line. I am compiling a list of what our new strategy on offense might be...
a) Run it up the gut over and over. The 3 runs and punt strategy we are all so very fond of. A punt isn't a bad thing right Dave?
b) 3 step drop. Get it out quick and rely on any fortuitous late hit penalties to help us move the ball down the field.
c) Snap and run like your hair is on fire! Sort of like the keep-away game we played when we were kids. Love to see this one! LOL!
d) Snap and fall into the fetal position. **** it! This is a tank for Tua season anyway. Why does it matter?
e) Snap and heave. Just launch that sucker in the direction of Williams and hope he wins the jump ball.

I overreacted, but I hate that we traded away young talent for picks that we hope to use on young talent.
Tunsil was a building block and there was no reason to get rid of him.Pauly and Surfs Up 99 like this. -
Again, that doesn't mean I don't absolutely hate it- we should have kept James and Tunsil and we could have been an 8+ win team this season. That infuriates me to no end because this team has done that over and over with the line. So believe me, I get it. That doesn't change the fact that it was a smart move overall though.Surfs Up 99 likes this. -
It's basically going to be two very late firsts that dont have much more value than 2nd rounders and a late second that is basically a third.
I'd guess we end up backwards talent wise after all the picks are made.Surfs Up 99 and KeyFin like this. -
It's about having the options to move around within that first round if you need to and want to. I think it's a no brainer we're picking at least top 3, if not first overall at this point, but who knows. So get your QB, either stay put with wherever houston's 1 ends up, or use it and some other ammo to move back up if there's another high first rounder you want, such as a WR, OL, or pass rusher.
The problem though like you said is trusting them to actually scout and select the right players who will have an impact, and want to stick around. It's easy for us fans now to sit here and go yea!!! picks!! we're rebuilding the right way! Lets not forget though... to get where Cleveland is today, how many times did they go through the process of drafting QB's and trading away vets to accumulate picks to keep trying? There's no guarantee this works, and to an extent I'm with Alex here on being concerned this franchise actually gets it right when the draft process rolls around. -
