Sure, we'll just go waltz right on into the draft and pick him up as we swing by

Thing is...Ross can do this by bringing those guys into the organization in some capacity. But he wont..hed rather take advice from someone who obviously doesnt have the Phins best interests at heart. Petersons not a Phin. Hes a guy who thinks hes gods gift to a front office. But his hearts not in it. Get someone who bleeds our colors...

Notice something in that reel? a decade before the NFL's emphasis on proper tackling, like not hitting with the crown of your helmet, Zach Thomas was already doing it. In most of those tackles he moves his head to the side or pulls up his head. He hits with his shoulfer.
Anyone think he gets into the HOF? I hope so, but I'm not optimistic.
An aside: an alien watching just these football reels would surmise that the only forms of music on this planet were metal and rap. For ****'s sake, mix it up!DPlus47 likes this. -

We've been so used to LBs that are one-dimensional on this team that you forget what a complete LB can actually do in a game.
Criticize JJ all you want, but the man drafted the two best fan favorites (ZT and JT) since Marino. -
Would watch Zach Thomas highlight reels 48 hours straight if it meant erasing every memory of Phillip Wheeler.

Funny the other day I read an article, Chris Borland of Wisconsin being compared to Zach Thomas.
-
Borland from WISC has a little Zach in him.
-
If Grant Olson from North Dakota hadn't blown out his knee there may have actually been a Zach Thomas clone in this year's draft.
Olson, and undersized MLB, once accumulated 29 tackles in a single game; and it was a playoff game in 2012.
He is an extremely intelligent and instinctual defender who appears to be ubiquitous on the field.
Elite character guy that I wouldn't mind being added to the practice squad when he gets healthy. -
Man... that was awesome to see. Brings a tear to my eye really. He was special. Our defense was special back then. We haven't had a player like him in a long time on defense. I hate to say it, but Keuchly reminds of alot of Zach Thomas. I even thought that watching him play at Boston College. I wish we'd gotten the chance to have drafted him. Just quick instincts, almost always at the ball carrier, in the backfield, making players, solid tackler, obviously Keuchly has the size that Zach didn't, but that didnt matter for Zach.
He was incredible to watch, I hadn't seen highlights of him in a while, so that brings back some great memories. Thanks. -

He's not an ILB in a 4-3 but I think Kyle Van Noy would be a very active and solid LB for Miami.

Borland and Lackey are so underrated. -

When you break down his resume I don't see how that guy won't make the HOF eventually. Just a great player and makes me want to give Jimmy Johnson a consultant job for our draft... we could use one more Jimmy draft... just don't let him use the first round pick and we're good.

What a privilege it was watching this guy play every week. Still my favorite Dolphin ever.

If there was ever a player who made the most of his athletic talent, it was Zach Thomas. One of my all time favorite Dolphins.
The thing that always sticks out to me in those highlight videos that maybe I didn't appreciate enough when he was still playing was that he had really, really good hands for a linebacker. -

My favorite Dolphin players: Dan Marino, Zach Thomas, Jason Taylor. Zach is going to make the HOF one day, I don't have any doubt about it.

he's a bad bad man

I ****ing love Zach Thomas. And I loved John Offerdahl and Bryan Cox before him. Man, we've been spoilt for linebackers over the years, which makes now and the likes of Dansby previously even harder to take.
I wasn't a member of this forum then, but on the UK fans forum I was on at the time I posted how I really wanted us to draft Luke Kuechly in 2012. I'm not disappointed with Tannehill, and wasn't even against drafting him, but even so... -
