so i work for a bank. this old man walks into the bank today so excited......he just won the lottery.
he was talking about how he wanted to help his grand kids go to college, have better lives than he did......buy his beautiful wife a wedding ring she deserved (she didnt have anything too fancy cause he couldnt afford it) he wanted to fix his sons mini van which hauled his grandkids around (they have been taking public transit for months.)
well i was so happy that this man won this money......he deserved it, hard working man in his 70s, still working, still trying to make a living, always smiling.....well he hands me the check and the letter that accompanied it.
you all know the story......canadian lottery, fake check, its a scam.....they want him to try to cash it, they take his account number, he calls them they get his social security number and ruin this mans life.
well i have been calling them off the hook all day, telling them iam going to murder them, find them, prank calling them, anything i can think of. anything to maybe take 2 seconds of their time from continuing this process (i know it wont stop, but i think its fun to harrass them)
anyways....this poor old man started balling, hes a veteran so this isnt usual. he was just soaking his hands.....couldnt believe people would do this....and he had already told his family how they're lives were changing etc.
anyways.....i wanna put these numbers out to the public and have you guys and me have alot of fun with them. iam putting on my facebook also.
its some lottery scam (so call saying you got a letter about winning the lottery) and maybe lead them on, maybe scream at them, maybe tell them poop jokes.....i dont care. just harrass them.
supposedly the guys name is "mr. peter wilson" the 2 numbers given on the letter (they answer i have been calling)

Yeah, this is ****ing sad. First time I heard of this was two Christmas' ago. They target mainly older folks, since they are unfortunately much more gullible and trusting.
Worst part is they're in Canada, so the US Govt. can't do anything about it.
My guess is they have a couple hundred (maybe more) different phone numbers and print them on different "checks" so that if someone posts them (like what you're doing) they'll just disconnect that number.
And yes, I'm gonna call them here when I get off work.SICK likes this. -
Just did a quick search and found this:
So not only are these douchebags dishonest, they're ****ing ******ed for pulling the same scam others have already been convicted of. Only a matter of time before they go down as well.
I'm going to call them and tell them I'm from the Federal Trade Commision. I'll try and get back on later to post what they say. -
im gunna try to record my calls on garageband

These people sound like ***** for sure, but how could anyone think they won a lottery they never entered?

some guy answered. he asked for my account number. i made some **** up. then he told me to go ahead and deposit the check. i asked if i was really gonna get my $13M. he said yes. he asked how long it would take me to cash the check. i told him about as long as it takes me to **** his mother. he then asked if i was sure. i said yes *******. end of call.

So a month ago I tried selling something on craigslist. And the people tried to scam me. It was the we send you the check and accidentally send too much and you wire the difference. Well I finally reposted my ad and the very first email is the exact same scam. This was my response.
James,
Why don't you go **** yourself you scamming piece of ****. I've already dealt with your pathetic kind once, with the exact same scam. Let me guess you mail me the check but your secretary makes it too much and I wire you the difference. Why don't you get a job *******. I hope you rot in hell, while necrophiliacs **** your corpse.Frumundah Finnatic, GISH and SICK like this. -
