1) Ricky is OBVIOUSLY a PURE RUNNING BACK and we were pounding the ball in the first drive, so why did Henning call for Williams to pass? Thats not who he is, we don't ask Henne to go kick field goals.(Exaggerated to prove a point)
2) Anyone notice on multiple occasions the Bills were tackling us 2-3 yards after we run out of bounds yet no call? But when Jason Taylor gave Fitzpatrick a love-tap, the refs threw a flag for 15 yards?!?!
3) Vontae and Smith are rookies, I understand, but they are making Fitzpatrick look 10000X better than what he is. I'm still not sold on Sean Smith, especially when he makes ONE deflection, he will start shaking his head in dramatic fashion. Just line up and get ready to get burned.
4) Fitzpatrick can and did outrun Jason Taylor and Joey Porter.
5) Absolutely ZERO screens to Ricky or dumpoffs to Ricky in the flats to try and let Ricky try to make something happen.
6) Game plan was way too obvious. It was either "run Ricky run" or when Ricky gets off the field, more or less 90% its a pass.
7) Again, Ginn is an unreliable player.
8) Ginn's 2 return TD's against the Jets were flukes and I dont see it happening again, at least a s a Dolphin.
9) Unfortunately, we will not make the playoffs. We have yet to beat a team with a winning record and for anyone to say now we are going to beat the Pats, Texans, Jags, Steelers, and Titans is just being unrealistic.

I think the criticism of Ginn for this game is a little harsh. He had one drop. Was it big? Yes. But he made two tougher catches prior to the drop. He would have had a shot at dropping a potential td catch, but Henne underthrew him.

We were a borderline playoff-caliber team BEFORE we lost our QB, RB, CB, NT, etc. It would have been nice to make the tourney but deep down all of us knew we wouldn't have made any noise. This could be a blessing in disguise, all I'm hoping for for the rest of the season is to get Henne more reps, spank the pats, and fill our holes with a solid FA/Draft.

Where was the containment today?
Moses trips over his own two feet
Anderson bites to the inside and gets burned
We missed Matt Roth today
Bills killed us with screens, scrambles and misdirectiondjphinfan likes this. -

fwiw...he also short armed another pass that he catches, or drops, if he goes up for with any heart. Instead he held his hands low and the Bills player knocks it away shoulder high of Ginn. His returns were a joke as well.
That being said....this was a total team loss. Horrible...just horrible. -
FML about sums up my thoughts as well.

I'm not sold on Henne at all, unlike most people.
In my opinion, he has looked good because the line has given him forever to throw the ball in most situations. He has the arm to make all the throws, but I don't believe he has the mind to make quick decisions, or make good pre snap reads.
Also for all the receivers being at fault for dropping balls, maybe if Henne didnt throw lasers 3 feet over their heads that they had to extend fully for on the run, they would catch them. -
The problem I see is his touch throws, and making decisions and pulling the trigger under pressure. These are things that I believe are attributed to being a young QB. These are things that I expect to see improvement in as his PT increases. He's still what, 5-3 as a starter. And, he's working with what weapons...Ginn, Hartline, Cam, Fasano, etc.? Really? We're gonna judge this QB with that crew of receivers? Personally, I think that's a little unfair.
Just me $.02... -
Also his receivers don't make him fire the ball wide, high, and so on. The deep ball is supposed to be what he brings to the table and he's underthrown Ginn by a LOT 3-4 times so far this season. It's not like he is the sole reason the offense has been scoring points, as everyone seems to give him credit for. -
Having said that, if I see a game like this from him next season, then I'm likely to be much more critical of him. But, I honestly think it's growing pains combined with no real weapons as far as his receivers go.
And, you're right about receivers not being responsible for him missing throws. Just as Henne isn't responsible for dropped passes by the receivers ad nauseum.Alex44 likes this. -
I just shrug my shoulders when he makes a mistake, because thats what I expect out of him.eric likes this. -

If it were up to me, Henning would be fired tomorrow

It happened this week, if he puts the ball in front of Ginn it's a catch. He had enough of a step to where Henne could have led him with the ball.
I'm not sure if it was Carolina or Tampa, but it also happened on a streak pattern in one of those games as well. -

Blessing in disguise?
As I said in another thread, I can't think of a more discouraging loss in recent memory. -
