what's the game about anyway? I like the looks of it and everyone seems excited about it, but I'm not sure what it is. Is it like a platformer?

 

I watched Kevin and Moragn play it on G4's E3 coverage and it looked fun, but even then the guy wasn't really saying what the game was about, they were just showing a level.

 

Seems to be an open platformer. Very detailed level creator. The ability to create and share levels. If only i could get my PS3 online.

 

Correct. It's a co-op platformer that lets you make your own stages. They can get ridiculously complex, too.

I'd ask how to get into the beta, but I'm 0/2 so far in PS3 betas; no invite for the Home beta, no invite for the Socom beta.

 

Eurogamer.net gave away 5000 beta codes yesterday, all you had to do was sign up to their site and click on a link, if you were patient enough (everybody was spamming the site yesterday, thus it gave 500 error every time) you'd get one.

That was supposed to be for the euro beta (though all you really needed was an European account on your PS3). There's supposed to be more giveaways, including North America, so keep on checking sites like IGN, Gamespot, G4TV, etc. For a chance.

IMO having played the beta, the game is so worth it. There's already a ton of really cool levels (even with the limited amount of creating tools) with only a few thousand people in it.

 

Can't wait for this. My brother told me that if you pre-order LBP they give you a code for 2 outfits. One of them is Kratos.

LBP is the only reason why i have regrets in not owning a ps3. i think this is gonna be an awesome game.

I just got a beta code from xplay today. So far i have played a few levels. I like it so far. I haven't tried to create a level yet but i will eventually. So far its fun to play.

Well i just got done playin a user created level and i must say it was fun as hell. The level wasnt that hard but when you have 3 other people tryin to play the same level at the same time, it makes it harder and so much fun. So far this game is great.
