Thomas is still working at right guard with the first-team offensive line.
It’s Beck’s turn to line up at QB. But no surprises on first-team offense, really.
When the team lines up in two tight-end sets Sean Ryan joins Anthony Fasano, who has been working with the first team.
Rookie RB Jalen Parmele continues to standout among the pack of backs behind Ricky Williams and Ronnie Brown.
Parmele hits the hole as fast as anyone and has the speed to bounce the play to the outside.
Longtime draft analyst Frank Coyle told me recently he’s high on Parmele and said he fits the mold of Bill Parcells’ back who’ll get you four yards when you really need it.

Rookie DE Kendall Langford looks like he could teach yoga he’s so flexible.

The other highlight was a black laid on FS Jason Allen by 5-foot-7, 175-pound Jayson Foster . A fan favorite because of his quickness and pen-field running, Foster is tough, too.
He got up under Allen’s pads and cleared him out of the play.
:D Nice

Say bye to Martin.

I like him A LOT.
Love the trickery with Ginn throwing "a perfect strike 30 yards down field"! (maybe it should be a 4 way for QB (LOL)).

I totally have a man-crush on Jayson.
Holland is a huge upgrade over McCain

Beck opened up with a wounded duck throw, but bounced back to finish 4-of-6 in 11-on-11. But his completions were mainly on short passes, which has been a common theme for Beck.
He seems to be struggling to make decisions and ends up opting for the safe throw.
In 7-on-7, the QB needs to get off the throw before a buzzer sounds in three seconds. Beck didn’t beat the buzzer on his first throw, and then seemed to press.
He completed 3-of-5 throws, with WR Greg Camarillo making the catch of day, a one-handed stab in the middle of the field behind LB Channing Crowder that saved a potential overthrow by Beck.

Glad to hear he bounced back. Get the damn ball out of your hand John! I believe this also has been a problem with Drew Bledsoe when Parcells had him in NE. Bledsoe had problems getting the ball off before the timer in Buffalo as well so its nothing new to the coaching staff and FO as a whole since they were all part of Dallas as was Bledsoe.
Hey, baby steps, baby steps.

Four dropped passes was a big problem.
Ernest Wilford dropped a slant route that hit him right in the hands, though Beck’s throw was a little behind him.
Ronnie Brown dropped a pass out in the flat and sure-handed rookie Devon Bess even let one go through his hands.
And it wouldn’t be a practice if TE David Martin didn’t chip in his daily drop.
:pity:

Really like Camarillo (not just because of the TD).

OMG Bess is a bust. Less than ten practices and he's already dropped a pass.
On a serious note, is dropping passes in Miami just the nature of the beast down there? Seems the team can't shake it. Chambers had to leave to shake it, and did, and even Booker caught the bug last year. What gives.

I like what the Texas Tech coaches do, making WR's catch tennis balls from a machine @ high speed. If you can develop hand-eye coordination for that, then you can catch a watermelon sized football easily.

Henne struggled himself during 11-on-11 and ended up just 1-of-6. But two of his passes were dropped.
Henne also held onto the ball too long and suffered a couple of sacks.
The rookie made up for it in 7-on-7, looking the smoothest throwing the ball among the three QBs.
His first throw was a long sideline route to WR Derek Hagan, who was blanketed by CB Will Billingsley. Hagan came up with the ball, but the two ended up on the ground wrestling for it.
Henne followed a couple of plays later with a quick out to Camarillo, the ball coming out of Henne’s hands quickly and smoothly.
QB's holding on to the ball too long.

Never heard of that practice. That's a good one.
Sounds like all three qbs looked crappy again. What's new?
I say, McCown to start. Beck to take over during the season when McCown inevitably fails or gets hurt. Henne TBD. :D

That would probably do the trick!! This is the first time I have really read about multiple drops being a problem in camp. From most of what I have read, the WR's have been better then expected.

Still a long way to go. Thats sounds the most plausible though. Of course we still got quite a bit of time for the coaches to coach up each one of these guys. We don't need a stud/pro bowl QB at this point. We need someone who can manage the game, make good throws when called upon, and not have turnovers. One of these 3 will come through eventually.:hi5:

I agree. My money is on Beck for the one to come through this season. :D

During 11-on-11 situational drills, Jake Long got a little revenge on Joey Porter, who jacked the rookie when he rushing the passer on Monday.
Following a nice tackle on Ronnie Brown, Porter celebrated by pounding the ground with this fist.
But on the next snap, Long came out and knocked Porter on his rear end.

On his first pass of 11-on-11, Beck complete a nice sideline route to Ginn, just behind CB Andre Goodman.
But Beck soon followed by overthrowing Hagan by 10 yards, and then underthrowing WR Anthony Armstrong on the next play.
C'mon Beck.

A little before your time.

maybe because we have human-beings on our team and they make mistakes every once in awhile?

With David Martin on the team, there's no once in a while lol. He drops one EVERY day. If I got a penny for each ball he dropped, I would be a millionaire.
So far our the undrafted/late round guys are stealing the show, Foster, Bess, Parmalee, Thomas.
I really like Jayson Foster and Donald Thomas, they both have piles of athletic ability and Foster plays like he has a chip on his shoulder due to his lilliputian size...
And it is good to see that Joey Porter is practicing, I thought maybe Sparano and Ireland were going to "save" him by not working him this Training Camp but fat chance of that happening for JP...

C'mon Beck.
On a 10 yard overthrow, sometimes I wonder who's fault it really is. Are they on the same page yet?
On a forced throw into coverage, well that's obvious

I hope they are on the same page lol.

If there was 1 RB int he draft I wanted it was Parmele. Parmele is going to be the STEAL of the draft.
