I dont know if anyone else caught this, but during Miami's first drive of the Cinncy game Lorenzo Booker caught a little out pattern and hustled for a first down. It flashed to Parcells in the booth and he clearly says (lip reading) "Keep Booker". Of course right after that Booker dropped what would have been a sure first down to keep the drive alive. But it appears that the Tuna liked what he saw as we all did. I realize this is not earth shattering news as the talent is obvious to most. I just thought it was an interesting glimpse into exactly how Tuna was working that game.

sounds good. its a bit of a shame we didnt see more of booker earlier in the year. but id say he definately earned his spot with this team in the last few weeks of this season.

Booker Acually started the game of Chatman
-
Of course the Tuna likes what he saw. Bookers a quick scat back with the ability to make people miss. I haven't seen anyone in a Dolphins uniform make people miss like that since...ever.

For him to be active, a better ST would have had to been inactive. Plus, he's not much of a pass blocker, which has been needed, and he missed a lot of time in camp. He actually was involved in a small amount of plays earlier in the season, and did nothing. It's funny how everyone assumes, that since he's playing well now, that he would've played that way from the first game. Maybe, just maybe, I know this is crazy, but maybe, he's playing this well now, because of the practice he's had for most of the season. Or does Cam just hate him? Really, what sounds more likely? -

I like him too.
Even though..he can not take hits WHAT SO EVER.
I remember when they gave him the ball in the redzone (on the drive where Tedd Ginn caught it in the inzone by the pylon) And it was a inside rn, between the lefgt guard and tackle..and as soon as he hit the hole, he got WACKED. IT wanst a big hit..but the way the defender hit him, and he flew back showed that he needs to work being more physicall. -
I cant imagine he said "Keep Booker". I'd find it really hard to believe there'd be any real consideration into cutting any 1st day rookies.
-
i dont think he'd be in a rush to cut an unproven/promising 3rd round draft pick.

I watched the same thing and I think he actually said "Lord, please help me" as he's wondering why he signed on the dotted line to try to turn our disaster around.

Parcells had to watch Booker and envisioned another Dave Megget.

Maybe he said "She's a looker"?
And Lo Book is pretty good. -
roniie returning kicks
I have heard so much aobut Ronnie brown returning kicks at the begining of the season. If I remeber corectly at the time ronnie was not up to par again and cam called him out and did it to motivate him to step it up and it worked. So I think it was a good idea and it worked so much for it being a bad thing. It's amazing how short some peoples memory is. -
That little Maggot ... was about 195 or so as I recall... not 160.

good...hes got skills
-
Disagree if you like. What ever happened, it worked so to say it was a bad thing is contrary to the facts. Ronnie was clearly playing better. I think after gettign caled out he was on a mission to prove he wasn't a bust and stepped up. finally. -
It would be interesting to see Ronnie's stats before and after the Kick Return episode. My personal belief is that Ronnie was always good, and didn't need the kick up the arse that a lot of others believed he did. -
There's a reason Booker lost his starting job at FSU to Antone Smith (albeit for one game because Atone got injured that game). It's because he's too small to be taking on players from the front seven and is hesitant at the line of attack when going up the middle. He's very shifty, however he cannot be an every down back in the NFL because of his size.
Basically he's a poor man's Reggie Bush. Good change of pace back, but can't really carry the ball up the middle or in traffic. However, he makes up for that by being a very good receiver. He should show some nice production and putting him in the backfield at times with Brown or Chatman would be a good decision, but he still has a lot to learn about football in the NFL. The plus side to that is that he's a hard worker, a good learner, and a good teammate.. -

You are making the assumption that Booker would have produced like that from day one. That is an assumption, not a fact.
Did you ever think that there may be reasons why he was held out? Like grasping the play book? Or grasping pass protection schemes? Or just being poor at pass protection all together?
Did you ever think that Booker was able to produce so well because of the time he spent waiting in the wings? I know... its crazy to think so... -
-
BUT... that doesnt mean that this was one of them. There is a lot of heat on Cam... and deservingly so... but that doesnt mean that EVERY decision he made was the wrong one...
Your thinking is that since Cam has made mistakes... that this MUST be one of them. Cant you see that line of thinking is flawed?
