Lifelong New Yorker here. The traditional rooting interests are:
Yankees/Giants/Knicks/Rangers
Mets/Jets/Nets/Islanders
I don't give a **** which teams Devils fans root for :)
Yankees and the football Giants both played at Yankee Stadium. Rangers/Knicks play at Madison Square Garden.
Mets and Jets used to play at Shea (in Queens, Long Island) and the Nets actually once played at the Nassau Coliseum with the New York Islanders.
Rangers fans are predominantly Yankee and Giants fans. Islander fans are predominantly Mets/Jets fans. It's the Long Island association.Pagan likes this. -

That whole scene was weird. Too bad this is the end of the fight I guess. Would have liked to have seen how it started off. I mean the spectators are just standing there. If a dude was hitting a chick, most normal people would step in and stop the thing right? I'm not saying she deserved it, but there's more to this story. Or everyone was drunk. She certainly can't be surprised that she got clocked as she is approaching him (who is clearly drunk).

No. Not saying that. But bartenders getting busted for serving minors happens on a daily basis.
