I'm not a HUGE supporter of bringing Manning in. But for those who are, you'll love this. It makes perfect sense if you're Peyton Manning. Great argument for Manning to come to Miami. I'd love him if he's healthy. I just have a lot of doubts.

I'm not in favor of shortcuts as I think they show poor planning, but a HoF caliber Qb?

It's certainly an exciting article to read. Pushes all the right buttons on our dreams as a dolphins fans. Maybe it can be another Montana to KC storyline. But it still doesn't address the elephant in the room which is his health. If Ross is serious about this, he needs to bring in about 50 experts in the medical field to scrutinize Manning to get their best guess on his possible recovery.
Given our luck the past many years, Manning will play one game and then be in-and-out the est if the season.

Tin Indianforum_veteranUntil he gets healthy, I don't want to even consider him. The fact is he is not healthy and may not ever be again. If when the time comes and they have to make a decision and you have to chose between a healthy Flynn or a damaged Manning, I really hope they will just take Flynn.

This. Ive been in favor of Manning from day 1, if healthy, but this has to be part of it because at best Manning is a 2-3 year window. Get Manning with an incentive laden deal, Get Mario Williams or John Abraham, draft well and I think we're there IF Manning is able to be Peyton Manning.

yeah i agree if peyton comes here and we draft a qb that can learn from him for 2 or 3 years then i would be cool with this other than that i dont want peyton here.

My oppinion is the job is his to lose. If the staff wants to bring in competetion I support that but as far as I am concerned he has earned the right to be our starter and have the opprotunity to prove last season was not a fluke. I think skeptism is fair considering Miami had one of the easiest schedules of anyone in terms of pass defenses it faced but still he had the type of year you would expect a starter to have against that schedule.

Signing Flynn makes so much sense it probably won't happen. Would much rather have an older Manning for a couple of years than wasting a 1st round pick on Tannehill if that is the plan.

You raise a good point Padre, and it's something I've considered. Speaking only from a fan perspective, watching Peyton Manning play in Miami would be fun. It just would be fun and interesting regardless of the outcome. Compare watching Peyton Manning playing in Miami and us not making the playoffs to watching Matt Moore/Flynn playing QB for the Dolphins and not making the playoffs. Which would you rather watch? And I gotta believe Peyton, if healthy, gives us a much better chance than either so it makes sense from a FO perspective too I think.

Tin Indianforum_veteranThere more I think about it, if, and it's a tremendous "IF", Manning is somehow healthy when free agency begins, and I mean 100%, then I will be on board with renting for a him couple of years. A healthy Manning running this team would make us an instant contender.
I still feel he will not be healthy this year, quite possibly ever, and would much rather go a different direction.
