What the F: Mark Duper Arrested

Mark Duper arrested, charged with child abuse

Not his first run-in with the law...from Wikipedia:

"Duper was charged with conspiracy and intent to distribute cocaine. He was acquitted one year later. Previously, Duper had been suspended in 1988 for 30 days by the NFL for violating its drug policy."

    What a shame.

Can only hope that isn't true. If so, terrible news. I work in the mental health field, and I do have some understanding of the conditions that often lead to such things. Sad.

His cocaine stuff was like 20 years ago.

Sounds like he beat the living hell out of a teenager. Twice. Over a video game. In front of his dad.

The second one the kid probably could have avoided but for the heat of the moment.

    Crazy.

Well...keep in mind....some 15 yr olds...are as big as grown men, and lets wait and see what provoked the attack.

I went to 6 games last season. I got the oppourtunity once to go on the field to take a picture. I never met a bigger ******* then Nat Moore. He took over the 50 YD line and screamed at the workers "I AM A VIP!" over and over. He told them" not to allow anyone past the 40 or their Job would be his". I settled for a cool Pic kneeling on the Ten Yd line. In complete contrast, Mark Duper was one of the kindest , most down to earth people I have ever met next to maybe BB KING. Mark has a RV in the Parking lot and invites all fans to come relax with him. He takes Pics and I got a signed Football with Super Duper on my shelf in the Man cave. Looks like his Temper got the best of him. I wish him the best.

Wow, that's interesting (and sad). I wonder how these guys managed to mix it up and mention that the child's dad kept breaking it up, seems like a basic factoid of the situation.

I hate hearing about this sort of stuff, even though I wasn't around to watch Duper live.

I have 2 boys that are my life. If beating the **** out of them when they were disrespectful, or just needed it was wrong, I'd be in prision myself. I'll let the story play out, I love Duper as a professional and for being really really cool to me and my family when I met him. But I NEVER knocked a boy unconcious. You need to keep it in check.

The title led me to believe that he was being accused of something much, much worse. Glad that isn't the case.

Ehhh its his teenage son. Fight away...if it was a daughter or a young child I'd like to personally set him on fire.

Jacksonville paper says his son was 17 and started the fight. Sad day for the Duper family.

Not in my book, but things like this does happen. Sure there are two sides to the story and a lot of grey in between. As I said, sad day for the Duper family. I hope father & son relationship, can still be saved after all this.

Hugh Green said it was self defense and that Marcus Duper started the fight.

I understand the initial fight can be self defense. However, Duper went back and beat him up 2 more times.

Sorry Super Duper but you are in deep doo doo at this point.
