I think Tom Cruise could pull off crazy millionaire who may not be crazy. Without being a super hero, Tom Cruise is pretty much Moon Knight in real life.
Yeah but not all crazy is the same. Tom Cruise has his own special brand of crazy....(Cruisey if you will). I think he'd have been a pretty good as a comic accurate Hank Pym or even go vilian and be an reallllllly good Mystery (Or Clayface in DC)
Cruise's special brand of crazy is one thing that could help a fringe character that almost no one actually knows about into the mainstream. A batman like character who gets his super powers from an Egyptian Scarab that talks to him that might actually not be talking to him and the entire thing can just be in his head. That is the super hero version of Scientology right there. Especially after seeing Live, Die, Repeat, I have zero doubt Tom Cruise would be a great Moon Knight. My #1 choice would be Josh Holloway.
Yeah i just feel like it would be Moon Knight becoming Tom Cruise instead of an actor becoming Moon Knight. Josh Holloway is an excellent choice though. That I could get behind. Nikolaj Coster-Waldau would be terrific as well. Honestly, you know who would have knocked it out of the park? A Lethal Weapon era Mel Gibson.
Cruise is interesting and unique. I really don't like the guy, he doesn't suit a lot of roles, and he can be absolutely awful to watch at times. But in the right role, he's still a really good actor and makes it work.
https://geektyrant.com/news/disney-...-abc-cancel-agents-of-shield-after-4th-season Apparently, Disney "pulled rank" and forced ABC to not cancel Agents of Shield after last season. I'm thankful, as its my favorite show, but worried that the shortened Spring season will be its final one.
https://geektyrant.com/news/hulk-will-get-a-three-film-story-arc-starting-with-thor-ragnarok The Hulk will be getting his own story arc within three upcoming MCU movies, Thor Ragnarok, Infinity War, and Avengers 4. So it looks like he'll be a very regular part of the MCU for a bit.
Of all the Marvel movies over the past decade, this has to be one of my favorite clips- I've always loved the Hulk- I wish they'd make a Hulk vs Wolverine movie based on the 80's comic books.
If Disney does in fact buy 20th Century FOX as is rumored, you might get your wish, or something close to it.
https://www.nextbigfuture.com/2017/...rvel-movie-universe-with-disney-fox-deal.html This means Kevin Feige gets back Dr. Effing Doom!!!!!!!!!
One of the best villains in the Marvel being done right? That is a dream. I hope they do a Netflix show with Luke Cage going to Latveria to get the $200 Doctor Doom owes him.
TBH, I think they are going to do an almost complete reset after Avengers 4. There are only two films announced for post Avengers 4 and Guardians of the Galaxy is set in space and only needs to be loosely connected.
That's why I think they'll do it, to keep some small threads connected to the first stuff. The Sokovia incident could even be the catalyst that puts him into power.
I think in the new MCU Latveria will have always been there, Inhumans will be back on the moon only, and mutants will start popping up.
Seriously? The only Marvel show I've seen an episode of is Agents of Shield, and its fantastic. Regardless of what the film people say, its MCU canon for me, and I love it. Easily my favorite show on TV the last few years.
Agents of Shield is decent and I enjoy it, but IMO pales in comparison to Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Defenders, Punisher and even Iron Fist.
The last two seasons of Agents of Shield, IMO, is as good as anything I have seen on any of the Netflix shows. Well last season and the two episodes I saw of this season.
I'm pretty far behind in Agents of Shield. Will be watching soon to catch up. The first year and half of AoS was okay, but not great. since then I"ve only seen sporadic episodes. need to binge watch.
The first 1.5 years of AoS were fun, then it got better to the point where I looked forward to each week and liked the characters a lot. May is one of my favorite MCU characters. Then last season, they took it to a whole new level where it became something really good. IMO, something special.
Agent May will always been the chinese delegate from Stargate SG-1, Atlantis and SG-U. my favorite series(s) of all time on TV.
I totally agree, except that I would say that the third season got awesome as it went along also. Somewhere before the halfway mark of that year is where i would say it became glued to every second, and couldn't wait to see what happened next. I haven't felt that way about a TV show in a long time, and its been cool to have that feeling back. The show also now has 6-8 core characters who are unique, have their own personalities, and are very well written and acted. I care about them, and when something happens, its cool to be able to think of how they each may react. For me, thats one of the single most important things that any show can achieve or strive for, and they have it.
http://www.bbc.com/news/business-42353545 Disney bought Fox. Looks like the Marvel Universe can finally come together.
Everyone has their own opinion about how and what should happen, but its cool news. I'm extremely curious to see how they pull it off, but Marvel has made very few poor steps with the MCU. To me the easiest guess is the next X-Men movie, focusing on the Dark Phoenix, is the final one in that long series. Most of that canon will go away, and the characters will be rebooted and introduced into the greater MCU at some point, and in some fashion. I have to imagine that they have a plan they've been working on just in case things did work out. And as far as Deadpool goes, he's so far on the outside of things that its completely easy just to bring him into the fold and say that it was the same universe the whole time.
I hope they keep Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool and Dafne Keene as X-23. Everyone else they can ditch and start over.
https://geektyrant.com/news/disney-...l&utm_source=facebook.com&utm_campaign=buffer Well, there you go.
https://geektyrant.com/news/marvel-is-finally-moving-forward-with-a-black-widow-movie The Black Widow movie is now officially in development. No word on a time frame, though it would seem likely that it would be 2020 at the earliest. They have three unannounced movies lined up for release that year. As the writer here speculates, unless the movie is set in the past, it would then seem that the character survives the events of the upcoming Avengers movies and moves into Phase 4.
I didn't say the trailer looked good. I can still anticipate that marvel co-movie with Tom Hardy as a villain is going to be good..
I have no absolutely interest in the Venom movie, or really anything else branching off from Spiderman that's not part of the MCU.....but if those characters are interacting with the same Spiderman who is part of the MCU, I might eventually see it just because. I'm a big nerd that way, and don't want to miss something that's "real". Sony keeping a hold of those rights is kind of weird, given that the rest of the Marvel Universe can now all be combined together, in theory.
