Honestly, I'm not a fan, I liked the old one. I've seen plenty of player with that style of helmet, but what is the point of the hexagon on the forehead?

It makes the stripe going down the middle look cheap too.

 

The helmet is a series of plates designed to absorb shock through out the entire helmet. The hexagon is designed to give during crown to crown hits.

If it's better, than I'm all for it, I just think it looks weird. Any other QB's wearing those style helmets? I can't think of any off the top of my head.

 

dude, its lighter,and protects better, who the hell cares what it looks like, a lighter helmet can help our qb get his head around quicker.
