ATVZ400New MemberOPSpeaking of guards, rookie Shawn Murphy is working with the first team today. Doesn't mean he's a first-teamer, but he's lining up at left guard next to fellow rookie Jake Long. Justin Smiley is at right guard with Vernon Carey at right tackle. Samson Satele is the center.

Very interesting to me: Matt Roth is getting work with the linebackers. Perhaps the new staff has decided his more of a standup guy than a two-gap DE, which he struggled playing last year

he's also a high motor guy and standing him up may give him an edge he hasn't had at this level. it could go either way.

If we trade Jason then Roth can be tested as an OLB in the 3-4...an edge rusher basically.
Because a DE he is not, in either type of defense. So like I have said before, if he doesn't do something...anything as a LB then he'll be here for depth only if not outright GONE.

Yeah, man its so depressing to see all the players that have been drafted over the years and are not present on the current roster.
