PS3 not too far behind 360 last month. at least not as far as usual.
-
If the PS3 price dropped they would be winning the monthly sales figures and could eventually catch the 360 in US sales. They are already neck and neck in Europe and outselling even the Wii a lot of the time in Japan. A US price drop and they could boast leading or near leading sales figures in each region. They have a great game lineup coming in the next year and if they had of announced a price drop at E3 it would have been huge for them (it would have gotten the people who don't look past initial price to see the PS3 is as cheap or a cheaper system than the 360, which is the case now when you upgrade a 360 to PS3 specs). Price seems to be the PS3's last obstacle because their one SKU is only about 40,000 behind the 3 of the 360 even with the Arcade's sub-$200 which is impressive. Also it's strange that both MS and Sony have 2 top 10 sellers a piece and Nintendo has 6, that's also strange, May was a strange month.
Also is the Wii finally slipping in sales? -

Im happy for the new UFC game. They seemed to have finally found unique gameplay that fits well with their sport. I'll probably pick it up myself, I have enjoyed the demo playing with some friends.

And that's just one store... -
Also, Nintendo is ridiculous. Wii Fit still pullin in that many units? Ridiculous.

No wonder Sony won't drop the price of the ps3... It's doing about as much business as the 360 is... Where's the motivation? Keep it like it is until GoW 3 or GT5 come out...

PS: Why does gamestop take "new" games out of the shrink wrap and case and then sell them as new? -
So the only real alternatives would be for them to print off their own cover art and put that on the walls for the customers to look at. That, or take the game out and put the empty case on the wall. Option A costs money, option B doesn't. I agree it's not cool, but its either sell a 'new' opened game, or have nothing on the walls for customers to look at, which would also never work.
Gamestop would rather have the peons (Me) deal with the customers who are annoyed with their game already being open than lose money. -
Damn, COD4 still holding strong even with W@W out.

Jeebus... Halo3 still in that chart?
