We'll see, I know he's in excellent condition and has a chip, I also know he wants to get paid..
He will be 34 years old come the beginning of the season.
Positives...he protected the MVP in the Super Bowl and his blind side, and he's from the U baby.Jaydog57, cuchulainn, SpinOff and 1 other person like this. -
I think if the Dolphins signed McKinnie to a reasonable two year deal it might just inspire John Abraham to sign as well.
I would be in 7th heaven.
I hate starting rookies. I'm all for giving the top picks some playing time, but most really good teams aren't starting their rookies.
Dion Jordan doesn't need the load dumped on him as a rookie, especially after dealing with a pretty serious injury, and trying to start Dallas might be worse than starting Martin last year, and starting first year corners hardly ever results in anything more than mediocrity.
Let Odrick rotate as a 3-technique or 5-technique in a hybrid.
I hated most of the off-season but there is still hope. -
I rather sign Winston, but Mt Mckinnie is the safer option at LT.

BenVolinPBP RT @RavensInsider: An NFL source familiar with Dolphins GM Jeff Ireland's thinking on Bryant McKinnie called this a "look-see meeting."

Isn't he the one that said he doesn't like our new logo and "what is it doing?"

I like JJ more than most though, and Martin, imo I'd like to see those two play Tackle, but I also have no patience for a learning curve this year..they have to get it right..period. -

I would say this is one of the better off-seasons we have had around here in a very long time. -
-
wow, just when you think you've seen it all....
- rookies should not get serious playing time
- good teams don't start rookies
- starting corners in their first year hardly ever show anything
- the offseason was miserable -
You can see McKinnie here

So the Dolphins should just sign McKinnie for the 2013 season and they can always sign Albert in free agency in 2014 and not have to give the Chiefs any type of compensation. This is the best of both worlds. -

I doubt they sign both guys unless one is really, really, like vet minimum cheap, which is doubtful....
If they sign McKinnie, that really kind of holds Martin back. Aside from that, IF Thomas does better than we expect in his first year or if Lance can't come back as soon as we expect, they have some options...the problem with our entire OL is that other than Pouncey, we could see any number of combinations of starters... We have the OTAs, minicamps, and TC to find out about JJ, Lance, Icognito (left side, right side?, cut), Martin, and whoever they bring in (McKinnie, Winston, Monroe, Clabo)... -
IF we sign McKinnie its more insurance for the preseason just in case Martin sucks.

This could mean that Winston has moved on and McKinnie is the choice...??
