Reading on pft.com that D. McNabb thinks he should be in the HoF. IMO, he doesn't belong there. He was nothing special.

IMO a HOF player has to have been among the best at his position (top 3 maybe top 5 if there were other factors like great stats, longevity SBs, etc.) for a significant enough portion of time. I didn't have McNabb rated that highly during his prime and I don't see enough of the other factors.

To say he was nothing special is absolutely ridiculous. However he isn't a HOF player.
-
No but Andy Reid should be given a yellow jacket for making avg QB's look good, and making good Qb's in any discussion for the HOF.
-
He was a pretty good player, but not hof IMO.

Compares favorably to a Jim Kelly for example. While I think there are more deserving guys out there, I wouldn't write him off so quickly.
-
Chunky's Hall of Fame no doubt.
-
He's on the same level as Bledsoe.

Right....and what was Bledsoes prime? All of 3 years with the Pats?
-
He got a second Rd pick for AJ Feeley
He got Cleveland to pay Jeff Garcia a ridiculous contract
He made NFL execs believe Kevin Kolb was the next big thing
He got high picks from a division rival for D-Mac
And now he has people thinking Mcnaab was half the QB Bledsoe was
C'mon folks the guy was a GOOD Qb but nothing special, he benefited from a great system and even then alot of Philly fans and even many teammates were not big fans of his 10 yd outs thrown into the dirt.steveincolorado likes this. -
In fact in 7 of his seasons he failed to even throw more TD's than interceptions. His career completion percentage is only 57%. You can also add that Bledsoe attempted over a THOUSAND more passes in his career which makes his TD/Attempt ratio pitiful in comparison.
You OBVIOUSLY have a bias against athletic quarterbacks.Nappy Roots likes this. -

So Bledsoe was great???
I'm stunned. You two are delusional. Bledsoe was nothing more then a statue in the pocket, with a great arm, and no accuracy. Lmao -
Tom Brady is better than Drew Bledsoe..
All Im saying is put Drew in Philly the same time Donny was and the Eagles prolly have 2 SB rings instead of???? NONEsteveincolorado likes this. -
Stats are for losers, they don't tell the complete story.

Its like real estate, location location location. Tim Couch goes to Philly Id be willing to bet he never becomes a bust...put Mcnaab in Cleveland? He's Spurgyn Wynn ( I know misspelled his 1st name)steveincolorado likes this. -
Well I disagree immensley . I don't think McNabb is a HOF, but he's head and shoulders better then Bledsoe. And I can't stand McNabb. I think he's a ***** and a fake. But he could play the QB position.
-
-
And yes stats are for losers....says the guy with absolutely no stats to back up his claim. I bet when you have statistics in your favor you will use them. (Not you Fin-O) -
-
Don't need stats.

-
I believe in the eyeball test, I mean we all know how much better David Klingler's stats were but he wasnt a very good QB at all.
If I could have one of those guys as a rookie? Im taking Drew. -
-
Tim Couch is the prime example IMO because they easily could've reversed roles. -
I think Couch could of been successful still if not for injuries. That was an awful team he was on.
